Eh its not awful, its like a higher powered SMG, good not great. Still weighs a bit much for how marginal it is.
And yeah pubs were awful tonight, or I was awful tonight, couldn't seem to get a good rhythum going and on top of that was trying to use less than stellar firepower.
eagle is super light tho, only things lighter than it are the pred and the shuriken. pound-for-pound it might even be the highest-damage weapon in the game, certainly outdoes the hurricane in that regard which is the only competition i can think of off the top of my head
nota bene im strictly talking dps:weight ratio here, the hurricane is def still better overall since weight is pretty irrelevant once you get down that low. but the eagle is way better than 'not awful', even if it isnae godtier
I was using the Kishok last night to fill some bars. A fun gun to use but it doesn't seem to like being used if there is even a little lag. Many a shot hit square, it seemed to me, only to miss. I legitimately missed a bunch as well, so it wasn't just my terrible aim at fault.
Pubbies weren't bad for me last night, albeit it was silver. Out of about 10 matches, only failed to extract twice, and one wipe was after completing the objective on 10.
I did the challenges in pub silver games and overall it went better than most pub game nights. Turns out teams of krogan soldiers are pretty solid even if everyone is wielding Avengers. Although once I got the inferno grenade part done, I started switching between vorcha soldier and krogan adept, and took the opportunity to get all 140,000 points for Avenger Use because I figured nobody is going to yell at me for using that shitty gun on this particular weekend. I did feel a bit bad though, so I used ammo consumables to compensate.
There's really no reason to feel guilty for using any weapon on silver, as long as you are using it competantly and helping out the team. I don't think there is a gun that is so bad on its own that it shouldn't be used even on silver.
Dang, reserve packs are giving me awesome looking classes faster than I can grow bored of the previous ones. How would one go about building an N7 Destroyer? Should I wait until I have better guns? Not really got any ARs levelled up.

I like dropping the grenades.
How you build tank vision is down to what gun you're using.
Hawk missiles should be built for maximum stagger spam not damage.
Honestly if you can find a load out that hits -200 CDR you're probably set for guns

The way I use some weapons on Silver, I feel guilty. The "as long as you are using it competently" thing doesn't apply for my use of the weapons in some cases.
Civics is not a consumer product that you can ignore because you don’t like the options presented.
Me and my brother were playing Platinum last night. For the sake of making things interesting we went U/U/P and took both our Ghosts. What's the worst that could happen?
Hazard Glacier Geth Platinum.
THat is the worst that could happen.
Then the two pubbies who dropped in were in no way prepped for Platinum
I felt really bad for them. We wiped on Wave 9, which must have been frustrating.

I would have thought that Hazard Dagger Collector Platinum would be worse.
But then, I hate Collectors.

Geth are one faction where you don't want to be stuck in tight corridors against them unless you're a kroguard. Collectors are way easier for Ghosts to handle.
wait, the Eagle is good now? I should probably try that out considering I have it at level IX...
I wanted to get like a million credits saved up for the DLC next week, but I only have 200K as of now, and I'll probably only have enough time to add another 200K today. With how bad my luck is, I probably won't get anything new even though I have almost all golds maxed and every character unlocked...
I fear that with the introduction of AR ULM the choice between Harrier or any other AR will be even easier.
eh, a lightweight harrier already exists (i.e. the hurricane)
admittedly, the harrier is probably one of the few ARs that can afford to take ULM though, since it doesn't have all kinds of needs like the other ones

The Hurricane is undoubtedly a godly weapon, but even with stability mods/talents it suffers at range, whereas the Harrier (probably positively bugged in this regard) has incredibly good accuracy and little recoil.
The Harrier is nice but it has the capacity of a shotgun. The Hurricane however is a lovely weapon when you get the feel of it, give it to a Krogan Sentinel for example and you can destroy armor/shields with the Hurricane and keep spamming your incinerate and lift grenades because of its featherweight.
Also, the N7 Fury, she becomes insane. Her cooldown is already very low but when equipping the Hurricane with the weight mod you can basically spam the daylights out of the enemies with your warp, don't forget to choose the detonate power in your annhilation field to teach enemies to fly.
I've also tried it on the Asari Huntress and Justicar but her cooldowns are a bit higher and didn't have the same effect.

I wonder what they're going to patch in the Thursday patch that they're releasing to go along with the DLC.
I really hope their fix the Geth Bomber's ability to randomly ignore powers and the Seeker Swarms ability to randomly ignore bullets.
i do hope there is another patch though. there's still a lot of broken shit. hopefully they're just waiting until after this DLC, to catch the inevitable bugs in this one too.
Honestly, if all you're concerned about is the most effective dps possible, there's no reason not to take the Harrier on any class. Though, the same could be to some extent for the other "best of class" weapons like the Black Widow, Hurricane, Reeger, and Paladin (Valiant, Piranha, and Carnifex all viable choices as well).
I choose not to, because that would be boring. Anything goes on Silver because I'm mostly playing that for casual fun. Gold gets effective classes/weapons combinations due to the greater degree of challenge. I haven't touched Platinum in a while, but if I did that'd be the case for min-maxing best classes with the best weapons.
Pro-Tip for those of you worried about hoarding credits for the DLC drop, though keep in mind that I'm not 100% sure this is the case. It's been my experience that in the release week of a new update, all the new stuff has a higher chance to drop. After a week, things are normalized so everything of the same rank has an equal chance to drop.
Even if you're far behind on rares, you're likely guaranteed to open Reckoning weapons and classes if you buy packs next week. Alternatively, you could always "cheese" it by deleting the other DLC updates first.
Also: It only happened once I think (with Rebellion?) where the new content was unlocked only some time after the DLC, meaning some players wasted their 2-3 million credits. Check the BSN or in here before you buy anything, I'll probably gonna make a post once I've confirmed it myself.

Just played a game to test out my Hurricane VIII on my Turian Sentinel. For kicks, I threw on the stability III armor bonus and a stability mod onto the gun (and the Turian is already max specced for stability), and the results are pretty silly: I could regularly ace Nemeses across the courtyard at Giant with it as I was just below GPR levels of accuracy.
Still had my most fun with my Drell Vangod. Reapers Goddess Gold, and I was in a bigger suicidal mood than a chubby 15 emo girl who just got dumped. I proceeded to fling myself right into the middle of spawns and spam out grenades, more charges, and flips until I was either out of grenades or everything was dead. For bonus points, I'd typically tag the enemies with inferno rounds from my Talon before charging, thus resulting in a fire explosion whenever I charged in. Somehow, I only got knocked down twice and we pulled a full extraction.
Yeah, this only happened once, as far as I can remember. But I absolutely lost over a million credits before I stopped and logged on to BSN to find out what was up. So be absolutely sure the new content's in the boxes before you purchase anything.

I can only image Collectors platinum will result, by wave two, of there being nothing but Possessed Scions spawning, thus coating the entire map in a carpet of grenades.

probably because they think points are more easy to obtain in Gold while 2 solo matches of bronze gets you a faster result.

So in reality I would have loved a Hurricane V instead, since that's the only one of the Big 4 (though I guess there's 5 now) I've ever actually used.

I agree but I don't know if its the Eagle or the 40% barrel damage mod pistols have.
Its still not as good as the Talon though.
The one time we get an operation that's cool in theme and takes a little more work to complete -.-

the prime stagger reduction is in the DLC itself
Hit 3M credits for the DLC drop. More than I think I've ever had saved. Looking like it's going to be a grand old time to send the game out.
