Finding a product Key from a Partition

K, so I have a copy of Sid Meier's Colonization installed on my computer and I'd like to get the CD Key from this installation so I can add it to steam because I no longer have the actual CD.

The problem is the game was installed on my old computer and the installation exists on a partition drive in my new computer (I know, it was a super lazy transfer), so the key information should exist on the registry file on the F:(partition) drive, but it appears that regedit only looks at my active registry on the primary hard drive. How the hell do I view the registry on my old hard drive?

You'd have to mount your old registry, I'm not sure if regedit has the functionality to load an offline registry... but it might. If you have a tool open your old registry which is located in %windir%/system32/config then you can browse it from there.
