That last panel is the perfect illustration of how I viewed the Dead Space 3 micro-transactions.
I'd go into the obvious game being targeted here (especially by that first panel) but these discussions are... not pleasant.
The stuff in DS3 wasn't in your face like that. Hell, most of the dudes in the G&T thread were almost all the way through the game before they realized "Hey... aren't there supposed to be micro-transactions in this game?"
The thumbnail on the main page had me thinking this was another SinCity* strip. Is "Tetris Anywhere" a real thing? Because, the obvious joke is that Tetris is already "Anywhere". Pretty much any device that can play games has Tetris on it...
*I realize my spelling error, but I feel like its pretty appropriate, somehow.

Panel 1 is Simcity. Panel 2 could be Simcity, but I think it's honestly a hojillion games in one joke. Panel 3 is a hojillion games and just a mockery of all microtransactions.
They pulled a bunch of good sarcasm into this one.
What is this I don't even.

I... what? No, I mean what they were selling you was an analog. Not how they were selling it to you.

Oh man, I'm so glad to see this sort of thing. Still laughing at it, and also I hope everyone making games in the industry sees it because aauugh we're so tired of this crap!
I still laughed at it because it was presented so well.
Yep. It's all in the execution. This was one of the best weeks in quite some time. Started off with the paid endorsements/motorcycle comic which was pretty good, followed up by two New Classics.

Eh, it isn't so much the folks making them as it is the folks publishing them.

I like this comic, though it does seem like they sorta just did this joke (at least panel 3) :P
I enjoy panel 2 though - that sort of shit is getting really stupid. I really, really don't care what my friends are doing, but that sort of social stuff is becoming the norm now which is dumb. I also like that the message windows are basically covering his entire game area

I recall seeing an art installation in which it was possible to play Tetris on an office building.

Oh, it's up. Just not for you.
I still laughed at it because it was presented so well.
The only thing it's lacking is a final panel where Gabe murders Tycho somehow. Maybe with a clawshrimp.
I'm laughing more because it looks to me that it's already true.
Which is sad. and yet funny. in a sad way. Words are failing me.

Tragicomic?

So, is this: http://webassets.scea.com/pscomauth/groups/public/documents/webasset/npub-30226-game-5345-ss1.jpg the game in progress?
Oh God, I forgot the clawshrimp. I want that to show up in a comic SO BAD now!
It's actually totally a thing that's happening right now!
I didn't buy the game(s) it's happening in, though, thank god.
But fuck you — no, fuck y'all, that's as blunt as it gets"
- Kendrick Lamar, "The Blacker the Berry"
Clearing four rows at once (i.e. with an "I" block) is a Tetris
Hence in panel 3, the game asking if he wants to buy an "I" block (which would get him a Tetris)
