Can some HR6+ hunters to help me really quick get two Conqueror's Seals. HR6 Sweldering Showdown (2x Volvidon + 2x Great Jaggi) would be really easy to do and gives them.
They are the very last two components I need to craft my Golden Ceadus (Selene Z) armor and I NEEDS IT!
I've been playing Longsword pretty much exclusively, but fell in love with the look of the Agnaktor armor, which really isn't suited for LS as it buffs guard. I didn't like Gunlance because it felt sluggish, and I assumed Lance would also be. Well, I had enough extra monster bits lying around to make a SnS: Assassin's Dagger and upgrade it to a Shadow Saber+ and now I think I'm in love. I'm mobile, I can block some things, I can dodge, and I can apply status effects. (Longsword never seemed to hit enough to trigger them)
Since the English wiki is still filled with mostly outdated MHP3 instead of MH3U info, and they don't have all the monster info in one convenient page like the Japanese wiki, I'll just leave this here:
Between the phonetic reading of the name and description, you should be able to figure out the English equivalent of the monster.
Under the weapon columns are the most effective areas for cut, impact, and pierce. After that are how good each element is against them with double circles the best, followed by single circle, triangle, and x for not effective. Next is the status tolerance and effect. "Chief" is mistranslated for "Long"
If anything else is confusing, ask and I should (hopefully) be able to translate it.
Farmed a lot of Silver Rathalos... he takes a few good hits to get KO status.
Just now did dual Azure Rathalos... oh my god, so much weaker than silver. We literally killed one in under 2 minutes, if that. No joke, I chain KO'ed it 3 times in a row. It only was able to stand for 2 seconds before falling over with stars again. Hammer is so damn fun.
The DevilJho is one scary guy, it took 30mins to kill the crimson Querepeco cause he just called and called that jerk into the fight. so much running away. My plesioth urgent offline showed up now too hopefully if I beat it the HR tundra area will show up so i can get Gracium i think for some of these upgrades.
Gents - what should I prioritize? Off-line Guild Quests, or village quests? I've reached 6 star guild quests after beating Caedus, but I've gone nowhere on the guild quests.
Okay, so I had a charm with +6 Gloves Off, which I combined with my new Zinogre armor for Latent Power +2.
And when that triggers... the arm glows. In this case, the right arm - which happens to be the arm drawing the bow - glows electric blue. And my shots start critting all over the place.
Looks like I have two goals at the moment...
1: Get to HR7+
2: Farm good ol' Zinogore for his Electric ---> Dragon Switch Axe and Hunting Horn upgrades.

Happened to me too, until the dung bombs were delivered. They actually do a decent job of keeping a Deviljho away for a while, even if it's called again.
And in the end, it's still a Qurupeco. Once it tires, you can rip it to shreds.
I'm still on the fire-breathing duck thing. And I've just found a spot sometimes (but not often) produces the elusive Carpenterbug, which I need for so much stuff.

Yeah, Carpenterbugs are handy. Later on you get them in bulk, but by then you don't need them. I'd suggest the desert area for early Carpenterbugs.
The Peco doesn't breath fire, btw. It smashes 2 pieces of flint together to create a flame. The flintstones are attached to the top of the wings, and can be broken off :P good luck!

I have never found Carpenterbugs in the desert. And believe me, I've looked.
I just have lousy luck when it comes to those little critters.

That's where I went for mine. Sometimes I got lucky in the Moga Woods. You're also going to have issues with Lightcrystals and Hecrudromes soon.

Best place I found was the secret cat den in area 4 of the D.Island/Moga Woods, that bug spot seems to give up a 1-3 carpenter bugs every time, which was convenient.

Let me know if you need some help online, at the moment I'm pugging with randoms until the cross region patch hits but I'll happily make a lower rank gunner set and help you out.
I've found them from pretty much any bush in the first 2 areas, randomly. Sometimes you get nothing for hunts at a time, then you get 5 from a single bush. All hail the RNG.

They used to be somewhat difficult to get in Tri, but drop much more frequently now in 3U.

I'd complain about needing to make two Pecospanders+, but then I remembered how pathetically easy it is to make them.
Seriously, why is the Pecospander line so good?
Seriously I am trying to trap him and he just up and finishes the kill twenty baggi quest.
Jerk.
34 Zinogres capped or killed. Still can't make armor (need jasper).
Meanwhile, the guy I'm playing with just got three in two runs.
Edit: Zinogre #35 finally coughed up the second jasper.
