only Hype Machine stutters. only in Chrome.

Hype Machine started stuttering in the past couple weeks and I cannot figure out why.
Background: I've been using Hype Machine and Chrome together for a few years now. This has never occured before.
Hype Machine continues to work in Internet Explorer. Other streaming music sites work fine (though you are free to send me some suggestions so I can see if they work)
I have tried reinstalling Chrome. It is up to date.
I'm not sure if HM uses Flash or not, but I have tried uninstalling / reinstalling, and various combinations of enabled disabled entries in chrome://plugins/
Just finished deleting all files of flash. No difference. Music still plays (how could it if it uses Flash and I disabled/removed it?) and stutters all the same.
Anything I google for refers to stutter problems with Flash, but the users experience issues with other site too like youtube. I don't.
Actually this might help - I'm pretty sure the one sound Facebook makes (when you get a new chat message) also stutters. It's hard to tell as it's a short sound, but IT definitely stutters too - perhaps the same means with which FB makes sound, so does Hype Machine...?
I don't know of anything else stuttering though. Suggestions of stuff to try? Grooveshark, Youtube, Google Music, SoundCloud all work

Perhaps this is an HTML5 problem.
What else uses HTML5?
edit: figured it out. Some bug in recent Chrome version, should get fixed in M26. Used a command line flag to change audio buffer in meantime
