So after playing a ton last night with my newly acquired shaped charges, I fell in love with them on the Bank Heist. Save one in case you need to blow the secondary door.
The rest? An Early Warning System for the back hallway. Drop one at a time there and you never get surprised again. You hear it explode, you go clean out the cops and set up another. Cops don't often come from that area, so it's silly to have someone guarding it longterm, this way you don't have too.
Drop one at the back and one at the side on sensor mode, and use one on the interior door. The rest I try to scatter around where I think the bulldozers will come, and then shoot them.
I had tried launching mwo from steam and hitting f12 but they weren't saving. Maybe it'll be different with payday
Yeah, MWO wasn't integrated with Steam, while Payday is.
As for sensor mines, it's pretty easy to tell which direction it's coming from. I wouldn't do two sensors on one hall. They beep every time someone crosses it, so 6 beeps could mean six guys coming from the side with one sensor, or 3 guys coming from the side with 2 sensors.
guys why do my teammates get mad at me when I bring my saw to fight the cops? seriously what is scarier than a buzzsaw wielding masked figure? cops be running away when they see that!
Shotties are the God guns of Payday 2. I'm not sure if Mastermind is underpowered or Enforcer is overpowered (likely, both are true), but I'm having an absolute blast since I changed my spec this morning. Like, I just casually roamed the streets during a Bank Heist earlier, and scored 77 kills. That's close to double what I typically pull, and I wasn't even really trying.
[edit] For the record, I really, really like Mastermind. And I was totally happy with it until I switched to Enforcer and realized how ridiculously powerful they were.
MM is amazing if you are playing to your strengths. I can solo stealth a lot of maps with my MM/Ghost build, and it's something I really enjoy doing. I can do probably 75% of the runs I set out to do stealth (bank is the easiest, especially if the vault is in the cubicle area).
If you like being in the middle of firefights, then Enforcer is absolutely right for you.

MM's really hit or miss for me. I like being able to convert an enemy unit with Joker, but oftentimes a lone, badly damaged enemy will burn off all my armor and some of my health because he absolutely refuses to surrender. That's irritating. I mean, other times, I'll put my hand up and somebody way the hell down the street from me will toss their gun on the ground and put their hands up. So a little more consistency in that department would be awesome.
And even once they're converted, Jokers tend to be really sketchy: either they're invincible killing machines, or they get stuck in a corner with their heads down, like they're permanently suppressed or something. So a little more consistency in that department, too, would be awesome.
I'm all about MM in general. It really plays to my specific interests and playstyle.
Enforcer is an invincible killing machine, though. I didn't realize how absolutely terrifying they could be, I guess. I mean, I don't feel like I need hostages anymore; let the cops come, I don't give a fuck. I don't need to waste time trying to convert an enemy who will be of questionable worth throughout the rest of the mission, either.
They're both awesome, but I'm really loving the Enforcer right now. It feels completely overpowered, but in a fun way.
Enforcer + shotgun is like 90 percent of players. Rest are shaped charge bots.
Unfortunately, this is true. I've played a grand total of one game with another MM. That's why I stuck with it, and refused to branch out to try other playstyles for as long as I did.

I specced out of shaped charges today just because of that - I wasn't having fun with shaped charges. So now I'm a Tech with drill skills and +ammo double turret. Then pagers, bodybag, and some stealth. I don't know if it's viable, since I don't have a "killer app" skill. Turrets are really fun, though, and effective if you have a solid team.
Plus, every time I play, somewhere a douche C4 OR GTFO pubbie dies.

Which is, honestly, why playing with PAers is roughly ten thousand times better than virtually any pub game, ever. PAers will ask if you have such-and-such item to make sure somebody brings it if possible, but if you don't, people just roll with it and deal with the heist as-is. No hissy-fits because they can't blow through the map in ten seconds, just lots of people having a blast.
I mean, I haven't encountered a single pub game where anybody even bothers to stealth anything, and stealthing heists is practically half the reason I enjoy the game. A great stealthed heist makes you feel totally badass, but things going sour is also great fun now and again.
I like my tripmines and C4, but will bring ammo instead if I see it is needed. Mines are optional fun times, bullets are mandatory!

I'm spec'd into Shaped Charges now, but the remainder of my build involves going all the way down Enforcer and maxing out Ammo Bags so I have something aside from shaped charges as well.
My goal right now, pending more patches to skill trees, is 12/49/48/11

I'd love to roll with some PAers, but I'm on the 360. Seems like most of you guys are on PC. I have a group of guys I play with, though. The only times I play by myself are on days like today, when I'm off of work but none of my guys are around.
I posted twice in this thread that I would be up for a few missions and not even got a single steam friend request, so its not like you are missing out.

Does the game play in Windowed Mode? If so, hit Alt+Enter to toggle in and out of windowed mode. You can use PrntScrn while in windowed mode.
Or doesn't Steam have a special screen grab key?
its a steamgame so f12 and steam will handle it in the screenshots thing
Shogun Streams Vidya
Steam has an integrated screenshot key. F12 by default.
edit: I is teh slow
Hilarious!

I keep seeing posts cut off like this. Is anyone else seeing that?
no i think its only
I haven't played with them that much, but could you put 2 in sequence, so you get a double beep from one side, and a single beep from the other?

Either Candlejack is roaming the thread or there's a joke here that I missed at some p
Also it's totally legit vs bulldozers.
Yep, that's exactly what I plan to do. :P

Also guys, AP rounds are hilarious, my compact 5 is now pretty damn good at murdering dudes for having such shitty damage.
