Just a moment ago, I got the little red "1" by my message icon up top. When I clicked it, the message highlighted as new was something I had previously already seen. It went away after I looked at it again, but thought I would mention it in case it could be indicative of something else.

It seems different than the "spam pm" issue other people have posted about.

    What probably happened is the other person replied while you were also replying. So you DID get a new message, it just wasn't the most recent one.
