So...apparently the recent updates to the Leaderboards have added a new feature. The Achievements leaderboards allows you to filter by Guild, and if you hover your mouse over the achievement points it'll tell you the last date they earned points, which can be a (admittedly somewhat vague) determination of the last time they played (especially since most people do dailies, so they usually get achievement points at some point). My understanding is they just won't show up on the Leaderboards if they haven't earned anything since they started tracking (3/26).

Not a guaranteed piece of info, but a neat tool.
Yeah, saw that as well. We'll probably do our old method for the upcoming cull, but it might come in handy still. Now all they have to do is put that in the guild panel...
I'll probably show up for Friday finally. We'll see how bad the latency is on my uncivilisedly rural internet connection!

Not sure i can swing too many Fridays in the short term nor looking to toe step on who ever is running wvw these days. Just a happy participant in mayhem... I'll try and get some stuff done on some week nights though. just getting settled back in... half the controls seem foreign.

Seeking necromancer gurus on general pve leveling. So far, I've been using scepter/dagger (1 auto attack, 2+5 for condition dump, 4 to smear it all around if it's a group) and staff (still learning these skills). Only just starting out (level 11) on this guy, so I opted for the run speed signet and the wee lil' destroyer scorpion dealie summon. Normally, I hate anything that smells of pet class, but I like the set it and forget it nature of the heal muncher and scorpion so far.
Any suggestions on weapons, traits, attributes, etc...for the solo leveler just grinding out zones (going to pretty much just 100% zones and do the storyline - no real pvp/dungeons planned until cap)?

Dagger/focus was always my go to. The single target damage from the dagger auto-attack is nuts, and both the auto-attack and focus 4 build whatchumacallit, giving you plentiful access to death shroud. Focus 4 also bounces vulnerability on enemies/regen on allies, and focus 5 gets rid of buffs in case the enemy happens to be buff applying kind.
I generally prefer staff as the secondary weapon. The dagger is all about single target damage, whereas everything on the staff hits multiple opponents, including the auto-attack (which also builds whatchumacallit).
As for leveling, well of blindness is nice, but also stacking up on minions can be decent as they take the aggro away from you. Blood Magic and Death Shroud trees are both pretty cool, Blood Magic for endless self-heals and Death Shroud tree because, as with most classes, the class gimmick tree tends to be the best tree overall.
Mojo give me 5 minutes and I can explain everything.
On another note, what other NICE guys are going to PAX? 4 day passes gone in 15 minutes...BUT I GOT MINE BUAHAHAHAHA. #braggadocio
That whole system this year wasn't enjoyable, along with 4 day passes being gone in under 10 minutes and everything else gone in what, 6 hours?
My wife and I got two sets of the day passes for each day though.
Great! Don't think we had a chance to meet up last year, but this year you me and Mord can find 2 pugs and do FotPAX 2013. Or something.
Mojo, don't worry about "stepping on toes" of people running wuv now. That person doesn't really exist. We kind of could use a reasonable commander.
Truth be told, I don't think I even had the game when I was at PAX last year! We are hoping we can make it this year, which is why I got tickets. It would be great to meet you and Mord for sure.
I spent a lot of time with folks from the CF forum that I've known for years and years and we did a lot of board game related things.

Cool, I'll have to try dagger main. I don't believe I've used that yet. Thanks.

for necro, D/F and D/D are both good, i went with D/D though, for the because i found both 4 and 5 useful, rather than just 4 (focus). focus 5 is not very useful in pve most of the time.
Boon stripping, immobilize, and heavy mobility. I think I would use a big initiative regen build with poisons. Pop them full of conditions then hop away. Add boon ripping with steal for extra rage inducing.
Are they still doing free server transfers to medium servers? And if so, is your guy's server a medium one?
Fort Aspenwood was high last I looked. @darkmayo just transferred, so he might know better.
I think free transfers are done, but the cost to transfer to a medium server is less than transferring to a high. When I moved from Isle of Janthir(med) to Fort Aspenwood(high) the cost was 1800 gems, I think I have seen from Medium to Medium was around 1200 (i think)
Mediums are nice because you can get in on the Jormags' Shatterer etc etc but Isle of Janthir was rough because we sucked so hard at Wuv Wuv

I'm on a high one so it would be a jump from high to high then which sucks. About how much is 1800 gems? Pretty much everyone I knew quit so sitting on Tarnished Coast with me and my wife for the most part ...

I paid 30 bucks for 3200 gems (Or was it 3400..) prices should be on the website.
Dual dagger focused on condition damage. Lots of mobility. Doesn't rely on stealth at all (it's available via CnD, but I use all my initiative for DB). Almost perma vigor, coupled with feline grace means you can dodge almost indefinitely. Tons of initiative regen, so plenty for deathblossoming. Heal every 15 sec., which evades, regen's 4 initiative and gives vigor. Dagger keeps an enemy perma weakened while autoattacking (while waiting for more initiative and not dodging).

Yeah that queue system was horrible - 3 times I had to restart and rejoin the queue because the site it sent you to was too slow to process the purchase in 8 minutes. 8 MINUTES! for like 4 pages of HTML! Of course, that may have been because I had to do it from my phone because I was nowhere near a computer at the time.

It must've varied. I think I hopped in line maybe 15 minutes after the sales began and I got through faster than some did who jumped in within a few minutes of sales opening up.

I'll be there. Missed last year because I was unwilling to spend a Saturday there with nothing to do, but I got all four days this year.
In other news, this weekend is a free trial weekend. Any idea how that's going to affect the population?

100 gems is currently hovering around 2.6 to 2.9g at the moment.
This is my thief build. I have a lot of fun with it. Have no idea how well it would work in PvP/WvW, but it works fine in PvE/dungeons.

I really like it.
If you dont want to cough up the bucks for the transfer you can guest on Ft.Aspenwood as much as you like, you just wont be able to do WvW
I'll try and join up with you guys for PVE dungeons but I was looking to do some WvW a bit more.

Well if thats the case, ill get my sea legs back and think about/chat with you re: maybe helping out in that fashion.
