These are people like Mike Wilson and Mike Flavin who are working full-time helping finish the PC version of SR4 and working on our next gen tech. Even with that load they and others are on IM talking with IdolNinja (Watson) and Minimaul, getting tools modified to work for modders, developing an early modding [software development kit] for release, and answering questions on the saintsrowmods.com forum.”

It's been a while since I've done escort, I just don't remember it being anywhere near as annoying as it was in SR2. Probably because the driving mechanics are better.
Part of it probably has to do with the fact I played SR2 with KB/M. No steering mod.
I suspect have the fingers of a surgeon.
As far as tips, I believe it's easier to keep pimps/contacts alive if you park farther away from them so they don't get run over. You can always steal a new car.
Snatch is generally pretty easy in SR3. Just need to roll up in a Bear so that you can fit more than one ho or contact at a time.
Escort is a huge pain because the john wants you to get Big Air then stop for 5 seconds(and the news vans spawn from nowhere to ram you and stop the countdown), then ram other cars all while news vans are willing to do instant 90 degree turns and have you T-bone into them(which admittedly helps with the ram other cars). And if you hit any peds the pleasure meter drops, unless it is the one guy that s/he wants you to kill. And the "all vehicles have nitro" upgrade doesn't work on the car.
I mean it isn't as bad as driving through Saint's row and then the john wants you to take him to the Marina, but it just gets annoying that the news vans are so suicidal and just spawn out of the woodwork.
I've never had issues with Snatch, yet find Escort to be horribad.
My tip for Snatch is to not use the bear. The bear is great for trafficking, but what happens with Snatch is you kill so many gang members so quickly it accelerates the star count and ends up getting harder faster. The bear is also slow and has poor maneuverability.
I bring a fully upgraded 4-door car and start with that. I can easily finish the medium Snatch without dumping my starting vehicle. With hard I sometimes get all the way through with my starting vehicle, but sometimes I need to dump it and grab a gang car. Just be flexible and go with it.

This was my experience in SR2 exactly. I never had any problem with Snatch, because I'd earn enough money to pimp out a 4-door car with some speed and then do the whole thing in order to obtain the dual-uzis. It was generally no problem at all.
Escort, on the other hand, forces you into a specific car that you can't upgrade or repair and is just a pain in the ass all around, both in SR2 and SR3. I was really irked that this event came back but yet they got rid of Fuzz.
You know, even if I were only mildly interested in SR4, I would gladly pre-order it just to support Volition and Deep Silver for not being THQ-holes. THQ dying was probably the best thing that ever happened to the SR series.
I'm convinced the THQ CEO in Tim & Eric's ads for Saints Row 3 was an accurate depiction of the real THQ CEO. BUY MY VIDEO GAME! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!

I'm pretty sure the tiger escort requests were no where near as annoying as the pimping requests. It's been a while though.

I swear that at least in SRTT the Bear generates more stars in general somehow. It's cannon isn't that much more lethal than upgraded SMGs but blowing up cars with it seemed to make the star count go up higher. It could just be its slower speed making getaways tougher so you have to blow up more cars. In any case, an upgraded Infuego got the best results for me.

It was fun when he started to blame Saints Row 3, at the time his company's best selling game, and starting saying crap like, "Saints Row needs to be more mature to sell better, so it can be like Skyrim."

The Tiger Escort was a joke to me. Unless the tiger hit me while I was driving over a bridge and sent me sailing into the water, it was basically impossible to lose.

It was a little surreal when the tiger swiped me in such a way that I swerved into a bunch of civilians and my initial response was just "man, that tiger's a jerk."
I didn't think tiger escort was very hard; snatch was probably the most annoying side mission just cause of how dumb the pathing could be (and lack of four door cars), but it was also pretty fun to slide up to a corner, roadkill the pimp and pick up his three charges.
ed: also the best thing to do on snatch is just switch cars frequently. On the higher difficulties of it I'd grab a new four-door basically any time I saw one, because even a fully upgraded car can't really stand up to being under fire at every stop. Plus, it's more fun that way.

Blowing up vehicles does generate additional hate beyond the deaths of the driver and passengers. Blowing up multiple cars in succession, which is what inevitably happens when you use the bear, gets you to 4 stars almost immediately, and 5 shortly after.
we gotta mod them out and change them into death spheres/balls of yarn
See, I'd agree with you...but that would just make their hitbox larger, and make it easier for them to bring you to a complete halt and cause you to fail.

I'm probably the last person to notice this, but apparently the corporation in the SR games is the same one that's kind of evil in the Red Faction games.
Weird-ass continuity hooooooo~!

Well, the boss has superpowers now. Where ELSE is Ultor going to go?
You shouldn't need power tools with Win8. We've confirmed that it runs fine without it. If it's installed it might be causing problems, so make sure you delete the dxfreezerserver.dll symbolic link in the SR2 root with the exe (if it exists.)

So many Mikes.
I can only hope a mod that lets you wear the nightblade outfit comes out. I mean there are mods that sort of let you do that but it isnt pretty.
Or lets you have a STAG gang look. Or different vehicles for your gang then like 6 options.
Apparently you don't know what he's talking about or you would know that:
You cannot use any weapons during escort
You cannot bring your own vehicle
It is terrible
You're thinking of snatch, which you have already been told. It's a completely different activity.
A couple SR3 activities were just annoying and not fun. Huge difference.
I suspect have the fingers of a surgeon.

Snatch is a total, unfun drag, though.

Have not had a single issue. It may get hung up on geometry, but I've never lost.

I got an [email protected] with a gtx 580 and I can't get a playable framerate
back in Win 7 it ran so fast I had to use powertools to slow it the hell down
Also the same performance tweaks still apply from the SR2 PC FAQ if you haven't tried them:
