the league system is a stopgap so you cant go on losing streaks into the depths of hell. Maybe you are tilting so you cant win some of the winnable games.
First step is to stop caring about winning.
Second is to only care about your personal performance, as its the only thing you can change.
That is basically exactly what I do. I just can't stand it when people make these horrific mistakes that they should know not to do by level 30. Baron with the entire enemy team up, no wards in their jungle to know if they are coming and not doing any kind of clearing of wards in case the enemy team warded baron. It was like the dude purposefully threw the game. It blows my mind that people do this stuff still.
I also have no idea what tilting is. Unless I am some how playing pinball and not LoL.
Basically getting angry/frustrated to the point it affects your play in a negative way, but you keep playing to secure 'a' win and dig yourself deeper and deeper in a hole. Not to go point you to solomid, but here it is: http://www.solomid.net/blog.php?v=13909
This could explain why you feel your a 1450 player, but you arent currently playing at that level because you see a mistake and instead of continuing on with the game you either try to make up for it and make more mistakes, or dont concentrate on the right things (because you couldnt stand the mistake) and make mistakes. Learn to let go all mistakes. They happen. If you want to prevent things like a badly called baron, start taking the strat caller role in matches.

Ah. Yea, that does happen sometimes. I've been trying to work on not doing it. This last game I didn't even get a chance to. We got wiped out at baron and they immediately took the nexus.

I never fear death or dyin', I only fear never trying.
Remember that tilt can affect your next game, best thing to do after a frustrating loss when you know you feel frustrated is to take a quick break from lol. For example I play a game of chess online (takes a solid amount of concentration).
You can play other games, read a chapter in a good book, etc as long as it takes concentration (just listening to music doesnt count here - even if its mozart).
I dislike the promotion system. No reason i should go to silver 1, get demoted, immediatley do promotion series, get trolled, win 2 more go BACK into promotion series, win one, get trolled etc. Ive done the promotion series for Silver 2 to silver 1 9 times. I wonder if that means i should be in Silver 1. But mid GP thinks otherwise!! Fucking stupid pros doing stupid shit and making other people think they can do it. Get hit by a bus.
Decided to give midlane Kayle a shot last night, got matched against a Taric. Who built straight AP. That did not go well for him, aside from a kill on me early 1v1 that was just me underestimating his early burst.
That was the dumbest game that we somehow managed to win, though. The highlights: our last pick who got denied jungling and decided to go support Mundo. To his credit, he actually bought a sightstone, that he proceeded to never use. Then there was our jungle Renekton, xXL3g1t3n1perXx (his actual name, or close to it) who went around yelling YOLO and SWAG and engaging 3v5 on the enemy team. The people who play this game are adorable sometimes.

That Renekton was a hero and you'd better have supported his bravery.
In this moment, I am euphoric. Not because of any phony god’s blessing. But because, I am enlightened by my intelligence.
Just got through a game playing against Dr. Mundo for the first time. I'm pretty sure it was the first time anyone on my team had seen him. He got fed early and had 3600 hp by 14. Man is he tough to put down if he gets some high hp. What a bruiser!
"Look out here comes"..."Susan"..."Suuuuuuuuuuuuusan".
"Woah, I just scared myself!"
I did a game of support Mundo last night, it was hilarious. Unfortunately my ADC freaked out and switched from Varus to Vayne for some reason and ended up getting bullied by Ali/Twitch. Everything was going to go so well! So much harass, so much range, but no. Had to switch to Vayne.
Anyone else noticed a lack of Malphite bans and picks recently? I have him on my permaban list, but people are banning akali instead. Time to dust off the old rocks and murder some AD carries.
Permaban List
Blitzcrank, Malphite, Amumu*, Shen*
*These two always get banned, by one side unless they want them.
So I am curious, what is on every ones permaban list?

There was a time when I'd always want to ban Malzahar because I could not play against him mid. It was pretty embarassing.
At the moment, Kayle and Vi get banned a lot EU-side, or maybe that's just in games I play in. Because we generally have the same guy as team captain, and he always bans those unless he's going to use either.
Malphite is just too weak in lane these days. Was a fun moment yesterday in the NA lcs where a level 6 support elise with sightstone absolutely destroyed a level 9 top malphite in a 1v1 duel.

Bans on NA at whatever the heck my MMR is looks like this:
Blitzcrank, Shen, Amumu, Vi, Akali, Flavor Ban (This is usually Malphite, Xin, J4) mostly seeing Xin right now.
That depends on what you define as the permaban list.
I understand that I need to bad Malp/Amumu/Shen/Kha/Vi but I don't feel terrible when I'm playing against them.
If I had it my way my permaban list is: Blitzcrank/Singed/Jayce/Shaco. As soon as I see them in the loading screen I already hate where this game is going to take me.
I see you guys are in the incredible fortunate Hecarim is available games
Hec is a flavor ban in the mid to high silvers. Once you hit gold no more clop clop and games are 20% worse for it. I know of two people in this thread that will understand why.
I had a game yesterday where I was Janna supporting Varus against Graves and Nidalee.
Foolishly I give up first blood. Pretty much unprovoked, a mistake of me being too aggressive.
I die again sacrificing myself to protect Varus, who had over extended pretty hugely, which succeeds as he did not die that fight. I then die once more because Varus ran away from an advantageous fight which we would have won (not even probably, straight up just would have won) had he not bugged out in the middle of it.
Varus dies at some point in the next minute or so to a pretty savage tower dive.
The other lanes are not winning or losing by a large margin. They are pretty close.
About a minute later they take our bottom turret. Team morale is low. Varus says "Janna just take CS. I'm terrible at this, and maybe if you have cash you can help the team. I'm useless."
So I respond to him with "No no no you're doing okay, we've both made mistakes. Just keep farming and we can still do this."
All of a sudden team chat became some hilarious bastion of supportiveness and positive thinking. Varus stayed in just enough teamfights to make a difference, while farming as much as he could. Our mid, jungle AND top all come down bot in the next couple minutes one or two at a time to help in lane, then get back to their own. We are cautious in teamfights and judicious in catching the enemy out when we can. We secure objectives quickly and decisively when we have the opportunity, and did not extend ourselves past where we could go when we could not.
And most of all the whole time chat was like
"good job guys, that was a great fight"
"Nice dragon"
"Careful, all mia"
"Not enough wards on the map, I'll pick up some of the slack"
We crushed that game in mid-late. And I nearly cried. It was beautiful.
Watching the LCS replays, complexity really has stepped up their game these past 2 weeks. Glad to see them competitive.

Games like that are great. Too often it is just everyone blaming everyone else. I tend to talk a lot more in chat when folks are being supportive than when they are acting like tools.
Also if i ever move up out of bottom/mid silver my precious horsey will be perma banned? =(

Shen and Malphite are almost never banned at Plat MMR. People know how to deal with the top laners and are far more concerned with the stronger junglers. The top bans I'm used to look like this: Blitz, mummy, xin, hecarim, vi, j4, elise, kayle.
I hope they buff up trundle, he was a favorite jungler of mine for a while.

How do I Pantheon? I am being successful thus far, I usually can keep my lane in place and generally contribute and answering when people call for a Spartan air drop. However I am being killed much more than I think I should. He is sort of squishy for having to get so close and once he is in you are not leaving (except for a couple of hilarious instances of "jump in, kill the carry and ulti out to fountain"). Any tips?

But then how can we double dunk orianna's and ezrials

Trundle is on Riots - 'Remake' list. So he will not likely see any changes until they rework him. They're giving him the karma treatment.
Interesting, well here is hoping they turn him into something I like. I really need to push myself to learn VI better. I have noticed that hec sees some bans in low silvers but he is getting picked more often. Plus with Amumu being perma-banned my 3rd junglers are fair but could be better.

Why Kayle? Maybe I just see bad ones, but I very rarely see ones that do well. Its always people trying to copy LCS builds, but failing because they have 40CS at 10 min and are bullied out of lane.
