Guys. I will sell your kids to gypsies to raise money for a rig capable of playing Bioshock Infinite. I get a decent system, you get tons of free time and more money, it's a win/win.

Also, I may or may not have bought a 4 pack of Revelations 2012 for $5, which leaves me with three giftable copies. Now I have to make a list of three people in this thread who have crossed me.

I'll buy one of those AssRevs off you. Been waiting for it to hit $5 anyway.

Or, I'll rent some of my child labor to you from my Bioshock arrangements to have them produce Steambux on your behalf.

Is Revelations 2012 just a mediocre FPS game about the Mayan apocalypse?

Anyway, acclaimed PSN-formerly exclusive alcoholism metaphor simulator Papo and Yo is coming to Steam

    http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/26/papo-and-yo-coming-to-steam-on-april-18/

Revelations 2012 is a shitty L4D mod someone had the balls to charge $10 for.

Terrible is a strong word, true. It's just a bit dated, I guess? And the animations are a bit lacking, though the text pop ups are great on blocks and such.

Def playable, but D3, as debatable as the game is, did amazing things with the look and feel of combat.

Man, half my friends list is in Bioshock Infinite. I haven't even played a Bioshock game. But Infinite looks purdy.

I won't lie; it's because I don't want to deal with achievements for them in GFWL. Yes I realize that is dumb.

But I'm reading that the first game doesn't have GFWL achievements? And I'm seeing a .dll replacement for 2 that disables GFWL in single player?

Can anyone confirm either of these?

First game didn't have GfWL period. Second game does. You can play Infinite without the previous two since it's in a separate, unrelated setting, if you're so inclined.

So... This year is the 15th anniversary of the release of Half-Life 1; it's also the year that new consoles are getting revealed and Valve has shown a greater emphasis on console development lately. Source2 is probably being designed with next-gen consoles in mind.

I think we might get a new Half-Life game announcement this year.

    Agree/Disagree/You crazy?

It's not the story I'm concerned about really, I just don't know if I'll care for the gameplay and such to drop $60 on new game (not to mention my backlog..)

If the first game doesn't even have GFWL then that's cool, I'll just pick it up in the next steam sale or something and see if it's my bag before diving into a pricier game.

I wouldn't mind Valve having a bigger presence in the console landscape. That's what the point of their Portal 2/PS3/Steam experiment was about, right?

Well there's virtually no way Source2 isn't being developed with next gen consoles in mind.

But I doubt 15yrs is any significant meaning in regards to a potential HL3 announcement.

I don't think Valvetime has such notions of 'years'.

Tidalis is one of the best puzzle games ever made. Definitely a nice thing to get in that Royale Bundle.

Also DCS, the guys who make the A-10C Warthog sim that is beloved by simmers on G&T is having a pretty massive sale. It's not Steam stuff but these kinds of games hold their value so well and long and these are such great deals I just had to say something about it. The sale is going for only a day and there's some ridiculously good deals like P-51D Mustang for 9.99, that's 75% off. Big Ole DCS Sale.

And you can upgrade a copy of DCS Black Shark on Steam to DCS Black Shark 2 for ten bucks. I did that and got P-51D Mustang for twenty bucks total. That's an amazing deal for sims of this quality.

Sweet news about Papo & Yo, I thought that game looked pretty interesting.

Unrelated, but - what's all this about Precursors? I've never heard of the game, and then suddenly it's being sold by some Brazilian company on the cheap for another... 1.5 hours. So I must have it. But is it any good? Do I get to, like, video game at it or something?

How graphically intensive is Revelations 2012? Would it run on a piece of shit computer?

    Typical answer?

It's Source Engine, has fairly low system requirements, and doesn't look like it does anything particularly impressive, so it should run on just about anything.

    Actual answer?
