How graphically intensive is Revelations 2012? Would it run on a piece of shit computer?
Typical answer?
It's Source Engine, has fairly low system requirements, and doesn't look like it does anything particularly impressive, so it should run on just about anything.

Yeah there's a lot of cheap Bioshocks floating around on the trade and seller markets if you're patient (and verify they have decent feedback). Tomb Raider and Crysis 3 too.
Ok. What's the cheapest/best value way to get Bioshock Infinite now? Because I wasn't going to buy it but god damned it looks fantastic.
Summer Sale is coming.
Do what I'm doing. Work on your backlog, whittle it down, then grab Infinite during the Summer Sale.
That's my plan too. Infinite's on my must play list, to be sure, but I've got so much other stuff to work on in the meantime. Honestly, the only time I buy games anymore is during sales or from the Humble Bundle.
Do you think it will go on sale that fast. It seems it is going to be a commercial succes. Sure they could earn more if priced lower, but that doesn't have to be this summer sale.
It's a 2k game who are among the most aggressive pricers on the PC digital side. It'll be on sale fast. I'd look at Borderlands 2's sales history to get an idea. I bet 33 percent during summer sale. 50 during winter. If not on Steam, on Greenman, or Gamersgate, or Amazon.

It probably won't go on deep discount, but I could see something in the neighborhood of 20%-33% off.
Metal Gear Solid 5 was just confirmed, and appears to be heading for PC. Let's hope they don't cancel it like with Revengeance.
Edit: May have spoke too soon, the footage was running on PC which the article I read took to mean it was coming there as well, but there's been no announcement as far I can tell.

I didn't have X-COM already, so I just straight up did the pre-order.
Actually, technically, I traded a TF2 hat for the game.

I want my MGS!
and they can retroactively put out MGS4 on PC while they are at it.
BTW the game is a lot of fun and addicting but with the niceness of being able to knock out a quick mission in a 20-30 mins which means you can play it without needing large chunks of time. Although you'll probably end up like I did Saturday night staying up till 3am playing it a few times.
Edit: Oh and the internet radio thing is great. Nothing like listening to good tunes interspersed with some German DJ that I can't understand while driving to Amsterdam to drop off some Heavy Construction materials.
OK so went ahead and picked up a copy of Euro Truck Sim 2 at the fabulous discount price to give away to you fine folks.

Reddit's Steam swap subreddit is a decent area to find stuff if interested. Doesn't move too fast like some sites (steamtrades.com) or too slow like Steam's user forums, and has a handy rep tracking feature.

Bioshock Infinite is going to be a game that is talked about for an extended amount of time. It's a game that I'd rather experience with everyone else on release, then spoiled later by the internet by accident. I find the game only comparable to Half-Life 2 as far as shooters go, leagues above the majority of other games coming out today.
I encourage anyone waiting to buy it to pony up whatever amount, because the product is very, very much worth it.

Bah! My self-control, you are swinging a wrecking ball at it!
I've already spoilered myself silly about it, but I wants it! Have to probably do all kinds of favors for the wife to get the money released into my clutches :P

I would be picking up Bioshock Infinite now if my personal "do I buy a new game?" equation was not against me. The equation being "if X > Y then do not buy" where "X" is time in days before I actually play and or beat the game and "Y" is the amount of days until said game goes on sale.
Does GMG say somewhere on their site how long that current sale on ETS2 is good for? I can't see an end date/time anywhere. Am I missing something obvious?
Ah, Hydrophobia. I enjoyed the game a lot. And I positively gushed over the water effects. And then it went to absolute, complete shit in the last 10 minutes. 30 seconds after beating it, I hit the uninstall button and cried real tears of joy as it was wiped from my steam folder.

Yeah, any game that gets a lot of "Be careful, there's spoilers floating around!" right before release goes onto the "Maybe just suck it up and pay" list.

Not sure whether to awesome for the kindness. Or be terrified at what you have unleashed.
I'd go with awesome that he gave it to someone else.

Thanks for taking one for the team.
Although, it took me 11 minutes of denial before I came to the acceptance stage. Perhaps this delightful video will give you a taste of my morning:
