Just a heads up folks, New beta applications are requiring that you now register an NCsoft account. Old applicants are urged to do the same, duplicate beta applications were pruned as part of the process previously anyway so you don't have to worry about that.

If I ever had an NCSoft account, which seems likely since I played both Aion and GW2 at launch, and have dabbled in GW1 and the Lineage games, it seems to have evaporated on me. Getting my serial codes for Aion and GW2 as well, while not a hinderance to playing either of those games per se, seems like it's also an undue hassle, to get those two games at least activated on my new account. So good job NCSoft, for that.
I hope this doesn't screw up my original beta application and it's attendant information. I figure it won't, but I'm paranoid.
Honestly, I don't care as long as this new account works for Wildstar at launch at the very least.

Contact support. Also the Guildwars 2 account is done through arenanet not NCsoft. The NCsoft accounts do not include Guildwars 2.
That clears up most potential issues I saw with their "XP = progress" design, I'm glad they're looking to address the various concerns and corner cases (like support characters), rather than stomping their foot and going Our Way Or The Highway.

Yup, that final sentence is pretty much saying, "See you in 2014". Which is shaping up to be quite a year for MMO's with ELDER SCROLLS, WILDSTAR, and the next WOW expansion all looming over the Event Horizon.
Don't forget Everquest Next, which came out of nowhere and went "bam! Paradigm change!".
Blizzard will have to pull a real rabbit out of their hat with their next expansion if they hope to claw back some of their playerbase. We'll see if their independence results in something positive.

So are they stopping the beta for the time being? Or is it going to continue but just have huge changes for CB4?
EDIT: Found my answer. CB3 is shutting down and nothing until CB4 begins in ?.
Half of us are typing between the FFXIV, EQNext and Wildstar threads right now. With FFXIV coming out soon, Wildstar on shutdown until CB4 for some time while they go back to the drawing board on quests and EQNext being the hot thing right now. Wildstar thread is receiving very little love.
Maybe if they gave us all beta keys we'd talk about it O_O

It won't be a terribly long hiatus. 4 or so more months in the cookpot will probably do the game a lot of good despite me not being able to hold all my hype. Also, Wildstar Wed/other updates will still continue. Don't forget they are still doing PAX and Gamescom
I'm wondering what they'll be showing at PAX and all now that they're revising so much.
If I had to guess, it'll be 40% new reveals, 40% discussing old reveals in a new light with mentions of changes brought about by beta feedback and community outreach, 10% marketing spin/hype and 10% real talk it'll be ready for primetime when it is, expect to see it 2014 sometime, Gaffney loves you, we out.
Official reveal of the last two classes would be my guess.
Also likely. And desired, so I can yell at them for not letting Mechari be the other tank class congratulate them on a job well down with class balance and meaningful progression.
