PAX Pokemon League: Prime 2013: Pokemon World Tournament!

Greetings Challengers!
Our theme for Prime 2013 is the Pokemon World Tournament (PWT)! If you are not familiar with the PWT south of Drifveil City in Unova, it assembles Leaders and Champions from all the regions to compete in a grand showcase of pokemon and trainer talent! If you can beat 8 of these well traveled Leaders, and 4 of the Elites, you can face the Champion of Prime for recognition in the PAX Pokemon League Hall of Fame.
Expect updates on our Leaders from Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, and more as PAX Prime swiftly approaches! Check back regularly on our main site for the Gym Leader reveals!"

You can talk about the league here, ask any questions, or just chat! Also, as before, check out our site for more detailed information like rules and leader info!

    Made an account, waiting to be approved so I can log in. I'm also not entirely sure I'll be able to afford the $45 fees. I may be able to, but bills and saving to make it to PAX have to come first obviously. What will the badges look like? Do we get to pick what badge we want and what generation it's from?

    Hopefully you can get a champion that actually shows up this time. I waited all day for a chance to battle her last year and she was too busy to battle and when she was schduled to show up later she never showed and had to leave hours after she was supposed to be there. A little more dedication in that spot might be nice since that soured my experience enough to not do it again this year

    I'm sorry you had a bad time! :/ we try our best to be available but sometimes we do get busy, and I'm sorry you suffered for that. We are definitely trying to make sure our important leaders and champion are able to dedicate more time to their positions this year. But they are still people enjoying a great convention, so they do have some things they want to do.


    @Linkavich The badges are a design you put together with some of our art team, they don't have to be based off the gym badges, and usually reflect the leader's theme. As Team plasma leader N, my badges last year had the Plasma logo on them.




    Also, I will update the main post, but because of tickets only now being on sale, we will be extending the deadline to April 25th (Thursday)

    i wouldn't say i had a bad time, just a bad experience at the end. it is always fun to throw it down with other gamers. just waisted a little too much time just sitting there waiting when i could have been doing something else. i just went to the place she said she would be and when and then the long wait for nothing. and to the best of my recollection she only had to battle 7 times before i even asked her on the last day. not that hard when the other leaders are probably doing that every hour. i'm not really trying to bring this event down since it is a lot of fun especially when the convention gets a little crazy and you just want to get off your feet. i do recommend every do this. it is a ton of fun.

    @Shmelio they do the flat battles that auto level up/down so that nobody has to be at a specific level.

    The more people participate in the League, the better. Been a gym leader for a while, and I love it. I meet new people, make new friends, and it helps pass the time while I wait in line for panels.

    The selling out of passes so quickly definitely put a wrench in our plans, but with four days of PAX there will be a lot of battling. :)

    Remember, leader applications close by the end of this week, so if you're interested please don't hesitate to apply!

    just a slight update: we've sent out e-mails to all the leaders who we've accepted!

    We'll have a LOT more updates about all the exciting things we're going to do at PAX Prime this year when the summer rolls around! so keep your peepers peeled.

    This is not getting the attention it deserves.

    Trainers, get your fighters ready. If you can beat the Electric leader you, too, can get Thane Vector's autograph along with the Warrior Badge.

    Considering this is the PAX Prime section of the forums and the PAX Prime thread, I would say that East 2014 is entirely unrelated to this ;)

    Generally leader applications open up a month or so after the previous PAX. Keep an eye on the PAX East forum starting around the end of September, I'd say.

    While I am completely down with a Pokemon League, because it's awesome, I think this is the last PAX before X and Y release. Would it be possible to also organize a 30 person Funfest mission, for everyone that hasn't gotten the medal? (Or is this totally the wrong thread?)

    I'd say something like this would be suited for the Handheld thread. I am totally down for this btw.
