The artwork on the Disney princess is fantastic. I love how it stands out in style, but still fits thematically into the strip.

Is that Songbird thing a robot or a guy in a suit? The alternate cover makes it look like a robotic creature.

Songbird is quite large. Way larger than a man. It could possibly be an armored creature, but I think it's a robotic thing.

Gotcha. Just wondering, as I know next to nothing about the game. I know the "Big Daddies" from the first game were guys in a suit, so I thought maybe they were the analog in this title.

I'm pretty much the opposite right now. The game is a cut above triple-A shlock and is so high-concept it falls under its own weight.

I may not agree that Infinite was a rehash, but Tycho is not even angry about what the review actually said, but some utterly tangential thing the review said.
This is disappointing, because we all expect Tycho to have actually read the article.

Just thought I'd quickly write up an account to say that of course Andrew Ryan is a tyrant. What else do you call someone who uses sci-fi mind-control to devolve and control the population of the entire city they rule over (There was some pheromone dealy going on letting him control splicers)?

Hopefully this is just Tycho being uninformed or misremembering the first game rather than being some stupid free-market defending dick head.

Yeah, this could turn into a Megaman X/Ten thing. Ryan's whole character arc is that he created an entire nation dedicated to freedom only to descend into tyranny and and abandon his ethics for the sake of power and control.

I'd go a good deal further.

Fontaine and Ryan are both opportunistic pirates.
The only difference is that Fontaine knew that's what he was.
It was simply convenient for Ryan to characterize those who were weaker than him as having a deep moral fault.

It's been a long time since my high-school French courses but would you actually elide the 'le' in that phrase? Typically elisions are done to avoid awkward pronounciations and since 'oiseau' would start with a 'wa' sound it would be more difficult to pronounce elided than not. I think anyway.
