You've become a kidnapper, working for the infamous Geth. Click 'Kidnap' on someone's post to kidnap them, but remember: you'll have to wait 10 minutes to kidnap again!
I dunno if I was blind or what, but I couldn't seem to find an "Kidnap" button anywhere on any posts or anything, during this whole thing. Not sure how that all worked?
The game was pretty fun. Im not sure if it was theme appropriate for the holiday but I can see where geth malfunctioning and doing things like banning mods might freak people out.
Younshould totally do that on the fourth of July though.
I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.

Hot damn, some of those names I hadn't seen in years.
Hmm
I did figure out 16, 19, 20,21,27,28,29,31,33,34,42,45,46,50
I think had I come across them I could have figured out 7,8,9,13,14,23,30,35,36,39,41,54,64,68,73,76,83
The rest I had no clue. Even though I lot of them I really should have.
Even though I didn't get to interact with it much, thanks @IcyLiquid for doing something silly on a day meant for silliness. The staff's desire to keep things lively and fun around here is one of the reasons I like this place
besides the SE++ ones that were fairly easy if you post there, I figured out ElJeffe's and Shankusu's right at the end and nabbed the rescuer badge. the councilman one was driving me crazy because it would always go unanswered.

Can we get stats on all the specific April Fools day threads (like the G&T one or the like)? I swear it felt like the rest of the internet decided to take this April Fools off, but I usually aggregate info from those threads.
I felt sorta uncomfortable with the event. This is less to do with how it was designed/executed and more my own social insecurity. I'm seeing a bunch of injokes about people I never interact with in threads they never enter, so tough luck playing the game. All the other aspects of forum effects and interactions were neat though.
Again more an issue of me being socially inept for two years than anything with the event itself. Better selection of which answers go to which forums so G+T guys don't see SE++ names seems like a general improvement.
timer for stockholm syndrome was too fast. the game started too early in the morning so a lot of people ended up with stockholm syndrome. there was too much of an early SE++ influence that turned off posters from other forums.
good idea though but it seems like the guess the forumer platform is flawed for people who aren't in the know so a lot of isolation happens.

I see both sides of this. On the one hand, it's totally fine for people to be part of the community and just sticking to one part of it. But on the other, I like the idea of people taking a look beyond the one place they hang around (because the community as a whole is pretty rad).
I dunno what to suggest as an answer for this though. You'd have to identify what section someone spends most (or all) in, and that ends up labeling them and its weird.
I regret that I missed out on it, having been kidnapped/rescued before going to bed and getting what was going on. And kidnapped again... a few times, I think, and left to become a kidnapper. But never got to take advantage of it. =(
At least, that's what my updates tell me...
Like Mega Man Legends? Then check out my story, Legends of the Halcyon Era - An Adventure in the World of Mega Man Legends on TMMN and AO3!

Generally holiday events such as this and the Christmas forums are about getting people mixing together. The forums can get pretty cliquish sometimes. I know I used to rarely venture outside G&T and D&D.

Time for my shameful admission?
I came to read here after moderating a pile of greek spam on another website and saw one of the kidnap posts. Reported it because with the garbled text it looked almost exactly like the greek viagra spam on the other site.
Whoops...
The game was fun although most of the riddles were pretty obscure.
Would it be possible to have a brief post explaining the game when things like this happen? I love the idea of forum games, but neither this time nor for the V-day one did I have any idea what the hell was going on.
Or am I just super retarded and missed those posts both times?

I think that was my favorite one too. Props to @Munkus Beaver.
Really appreciate all the hard work you do around here for no other reason than our idle amusement
I had the day off yesterday, so I didn't check out the forums. I missed an awesome sounding game
Still got a badge though

Just.
Bury me in numbers.
I see what happened. I have the worst timing. Thanks!
