You guys can pick this apart or poo poo it to your heart's desire
But I'm gonna be over here, bleeding hype
"Atlas'" fake Irish accent still cracks me up, though. It's like, damn.
I also have to wonder if Fontaine used Plasmids to make himself look less... well, like Frank Fontaine? Or if it's just the power of a haircut and a bad Irish accent.
Confused as to why Liz is hallucinating Booker though. It's an interesting choice, for sure.

Some of the logs in 1 and 2 say that Fontaine got plastic surgery. Knowing Rapture, that probably includes some plasmids, mind.
I can't get super excited for pt 2 of Burial at Sea after how bad the first part was, but that trailer at least piques my interest more than it was pre trailer. Hopefully Booker hallucination is not just "We had to have Booker in here because it always has to be the 2 of them." I'll laugh my ass off if hallucination Booker chucks ammo at Elizabeth though.
If there are, then Booker is how she's manifesting her extra-dimensional knowledge for some reason, but I don't think so
Something else is going on, we just don't have enough to piece it together yet
That can be ruled out.
Atlas standing right next to him and doesn't hear that Booker tells Elizabeth exactly what to hear?
You're assuming everything exists at the same frequency, or that one cna only see what's physically there on the viewer's plane, and that's plainly untrue based on every usage of a Tear in the campaign

That's really far fetched. Not to mention that every single tear shown so far had, at least for some time and to some degree at first, this weird...pixel effect and was colorless.
Also wait what? When was there ever a tear that could only be seen by specific persons after entering a state where one could interact with it?

It's not that far fetched at all, when we consider that Elizabeth can move between worlds like walking between the different rooms of a house. Her senses are going to be different from Booker's, period.
And we're never given an indication that enemies can see the potential for Tears where Tears don't exist yet - there is plenty of documentation of people seeing Tears themselves, but only Booker and Elizabeth ever see them before they open

J.S. Steinman performs plastic surgery to make Fontaine look different, and make another guy look like Fontaine, which is how he faked his own death. The fake Irish accent sounds fake because it's fake.
So excited for part 2! Did not expect it to go the direction it is apparently going in. I'm very curious to see how the implement tears while playing as Elizabeth.
I've been exclusively using the shotgun and hand cannon since I found each of them respectively and have never totally run dry.
Is Ninja playing at a higher difficulty or did he miss the group shock whenever you overkill something gear? If he missed that item then I can see where ammo problems can arise. That thing plus the better crits mod is a room clearer.
No idea, but I recently replayed through on hard and breezed through almost the entire thing. Carbine/shotgun most of the time
I stand corrected. I think my mistake is because I lived in Boston for a while, and you get a weird perception of what "Irish" is when you live there (it's usually yelling)

Given that we're only given a scene with no prior context to what's happening, it's really too early to be sure of what's going on.
In a game where a man commissions a city built in the sky, a woman invents a means to open up portals to alternate realities and meets her trans-dimensional twin brother, a woman has the power to open up portals herself and eventually becomes practically god-like, it's fair to say that there MIGHT be some other explanation for what we're seeing.
Crazy as that may sound, but we really don't know enough to be sure of anything yet. :P
I just played through Burial At Sea Episode 1, and it was fun. I liked the look of the new Skyhook, but I was disappointed that the new weapon was hidden away. I never did get access to it. Was Booker always that slow, though? The whole time it felt like he was walking through tar. And the max ammo seemed reduced from base Infinite.
Looking forward to Episode 2 though since I could finally watch the trailer.
I just picked up the Bioshock Ultimate edition, which is Bioshock Shock 1+2 plus (to my surprise) all additional content.
I started up Bioshock 1 and booted up the Museum, which I figured would be a nice trip down memory lane plus a cool looked behind the making of the game.
Instead it was the Museum of Orphaned Ideas, stuff that got cut and didnt make it into the game.
First were some nice models of cut Big Daddies and the Gathers (I assume that they were Tue sea slugs from which Adam came). Cool, but nothing I had seen before.
Then came the Splicer models. Holy body horror Batman. These Splicers were mutated far beyond anything you see in Rapture. Gross bloated men, people with Adam injectors hooked right into them. One looked like an escaped test subject (I never put much thought into how they made and tested Adam products. This one was very disturbing due to Tue implications)
The icing on the cake was a Splicter who's left arm had mutated into a tentacle crab claw....thing. Wow.
All these were fully modelled, which lead me to believe they were cut later in development. Which makes me sad since these things were so cool. Think Rapture's version of SHODEN's monsters. Human beings twisted to the limit, mutated beyond recognition.
I think cutting them was a mistake, they really show how desperate the people of Rapture were if they were willing to go to such lenghts.
This guy gives a nice tour of the museum. He stops talking about 45 seconds in.
Thank you for posting that @JusticeforPluto, I love that sort of thing. Rapture is such an amazingly mysterious and dark place, I love every bit of it. In Infinite, the Clash in the Clouds DLC had a similar sort of museum where character models, sounds, and art could be inspected up close, which made the DLC worth playing for me.
Bioshock 1 Museum? How have I not heard of this before? I know there's some challenge rooms that got released for the PS3 version when that came out...but the wiki never mentioned a museum. As a sucker for the original Bioshocks, I feel betrayed
Edit: Oh, and appearantly the Ultimate Rapture Edition was never released for PC. Fan-fuckin-tastic.

I've never heard of it, either. I imagined a series of menus, but when I loaded up the video... Holy shit, it really is a museum that you can walk around.

Oh god, the hype. So much going on in that preview.
Huh. Clash in the Clouds is quite fun! It still shares the combats core problems, and I wish there was a way to select waves after you've completed them as well as save and exit at specific waves, but aside from that, I like it. The museum stuff is nice to watch/look at and the challenges are often entertaining. Such as "kill enemies with tears only".
Bioshock 2's multiplayer had the worst server-sync I've ever seen in a game. The way to become good at it was to know to shoot where the enemy isn't, because they were rarely where they appeared. Can't believe I ranked up to 30 in that.

That museum video was super cool - didn't even know that existed!
I also had no idea the 2nd part was coming out today... I suppose I should finish the first part. Well, play the first part really - I only ever did the non-combat walking around bit.

I SINCERELY hope this happens. ELIZABETH CATCH!!!

But I've watched that one 4 or 5 times now and I am just so excited!
I want to know everything about whatever is going on there!
I don't know what kind of drugs game developers on, but we do not sound like how they think we sound.
Case in point - good Dublin accent (hilarious opening scene too, however fucked up);

I finally bought Infinite in the christmas steam sale and decided a few days ago I was ready for the emotional commitment of playing it
I'm finished now, but confused on some points; so correct me if I'm wrong here, but is Columbia just a flying state of Arizona
