Hopefully this is just step 1 of a 12-step plan that ends with George Lucas being flogged to death by his own legion of CGI creations in a new two-hour Christmas special.
Between Tie Fighter, Star Wars Galaxies, Jedi Knight 2, and various other titles, literally thousands of hours of my teenage years when into LucasArts games
Are they taking on the publishing burden for themselves, or is everything Lucasarts was funding being canned?
I am somewhat confident in asserting that LucasArts had a lot more to do with the games under their badge than, say, EA. Not EVERY game was shipped out to a developer.

good job good effort, Disney
Yeeaaaaahhh...... But lately? I haven't played a good star wars game since Jedi Academy, the rest have been pretty much shit in my opinion which is just my opinion.

I would say that's not entirely their fault considering the horrible source material they were handed in the past decade.

Well yeah I think you're right
But Lucasarts hasn't been a really strong presence development-wise for almost a decade now
This hurts the part of me that remembers loving their games when I was younger, but I'm not sure how big this is in terms of the amount of content we're no longer going to see
Still sucks all these people lost their jobs though, damn

Edit:
Wait
Lucasarts is a developer too
Shit
but that and the Uncharted-esque sections of that demo wouldn't have deterred me at all

Also does this mean Tim Schafer can buy all his stuff back
I can't think of a LucasArts game I ever enjoyed, so this isn't really hitting me hard
1313 looked cool, but, you know, so did The Force Unleashed
Still sucks those people are out of a job though
The world will truly mourn Star Wars: Generic Third Person Shooter and Star Wars: ACOG Scope
I guess there hasn't been a star wars game that has caught my interest in a while

Lucasarts. It was one of the last good games they did. Eight years ago.
Why I fear the ocean.

did they make a Star Trek game when the movie came out? If so, just go find that one. It will be the same.
