It's taken me way too long to post about it, but @mayoukoneko is pretty much the best Pin Pal ever!! Successful trade, wonderful person, and very much an asset to our community.
Just updated my Pinny Palls page with the sets that arrived for Christmas and my Acquisitions Inc. set.
I'm really hoping to trade sets for some other sets if people have them available... namely
East Core (it might happen)
Aus Core (I know it's dang unlikely)
I've also got some limited editions that I'm willing to trade for other limited editions.
I'm only interested in trading for PA related stuff, so I'm not interested in the behemoth pins and stuff.

So, I won a couple Ebay auctions and have added 2 second son pins and an Elspeth to the pins I now have available.
What I didn't notice listed in one of the auctions is a Disney Fantasia pin.
It seems to be for a new game coming out, but is definitely not an official pin.
I know I've seen it posted (or reposted) many times on Ebay as an official Pinny Arcade pin.
Does anyone know what it's about? or know if there is any interest in it at all?
If not, I guess I'll give it to some friends heading to Disney in a couple months to see if they can trade it for something they'd want.
In the north lobby they were giving out hats and the Official Fantasia - Disney Trading Pins at Pax Prime 2013, there was a small table on the opposite side of the escalators for Disney/Harmonix. It appears they were also given out at the D23 Expo. I don't know if they were given out at any other events though.
I don't know the value of the Pin, but it is official as I understand it, and it's a limited edition one (unknown production size) so it may have value for Disney Pin Traders.

It is not an official pin. Those Pins where handed out at Pax Prime last year to promote Fantasia but weren't official pinny arcade pins.. Postings saying that they are official are either lying or confused.

There are several pins that are going for 60-90 each, or were after prime. Trading has settled down a bit, but I'm guessing that may be where the numbers came from. For example, Australia sets were going for 450-650 after prime, and that was for four pins. *shrug*

Anyway:
Blind boxes are planned, they are on the PA To Do List. Make of that what you will. Hopefully they will be out in 2014.
Prices on ebay tend to rise and fall with the coming and going of each PAX. I expect both ebay and this forum to increase in activity in March/April, then again in August/September and November. Most sellers will be wiser to hang onto the Pins until just before PAX, around the time that Mike announces the next wave of Pins.
I contacted the guy with the ebay listing the other day because I saw that he had the DLC pin in the pictures but not listed in the auction.
He said that he'd been trying to sell off everything as a larger lot and the DLC pin was included then.
He's since decided to hold on to it and a few other of the rarer pins for now.
He's just reusing the pictures from the earlier auction.
Then, being the person that I am... I did the math on his auction.
I looked at the last two months worth of Ebay completed auctions for each pin and averaged them to determine the "going rate".
I then added up all the pins and averaged them by the number available.
Because of the Aus Pins going for such high prices the average came out to around $42.
Which means that it's kinda not a crazy price to ask $125 for a blind box when 4 pins come out to $168.
I still think it's way to high realistically. Especially when most of the pins being offered are ones that we all likely have multiple of. And the Chainsaw Suit and Pigglesworth numbers mess with things quite a bit.

Right now I'm after the PVP Skull Fart pin, 3/4 East Core (have Table Top Tycho, thanks Brian Sunter!).. and that's about it I guess. I'd like to try to get the staff pins in person, but I suppose I wouldn't be adverse to trading for the pins of some of the harder to track down ones.
I suspect what I have to trade won't blow away anyone posting in the PA pin trading forum, but anyway: 15th Anniversary pin, Hanna pin, Elspeth pin, 2013 Christmas set and a Chainsaw Suit pin.

So... imagine my horror to see that I've missed the chance to buy tickets to PAX East this year.
The last time I looked it prompted me to follow the PAX twitter to get info on when tickets would go on sale, I guess I also assumed that there would be mention of it in one of the news posts as well. I rarely look at twitter. I know I'm not using it correctly.
Now I find myself in need of a friend that will be attending PAX East.
I guess I'd like to make friends with people going to the other PAX locations as well if I think hard about it.
I remember there being mention of teams forming that would be palls and help each other gather the sets needed.
I guess what I'm looking to find is a group... or individuals I suppose... that would not be opposed to a sponsor of sorts.
Since I'm missing out on my chance to go to the con this year, and likely won't have another opportunity till I've moved across the country and will be within a short drive of the PRIME PAX in a couple years...
I don't know if there is already protocol for these sort of team-ups.

Hey all, is the PinnyPals trade feature working for anyone? I've apparently gotten trade offers, and have sent trade offers but no dice.
I've made 4 successful trades that were all initiated by the trade offer feature.
I've had several declined as well.. likely because my offerings were lacking.
Once you send the offer they are able to reply to whatever email you've got set for your profile.
All communications are just using your email after the offer is made.
I just get a reply saying "I don't want that crap" or something along those lines.
Thought it was time for me to throw up a post. I've done a couple of trades through Pinny Pals with Brimstone and Imsorad - great guys! Turns out the two Pins are actually different, they have different back stamps, similar to how Pinny Arcade Pins can have different years.
