Only $100 for one of the highest quality consumer 35mm projectors ever made. Hooray for obsolescence!
Holy shit! That's a fucking haul. Hopefully there is little no maintenance unlike the Epson 7600 wide format printer that is 10 years old and once was $10,000 but now parts for it are impossible.
Well, there wouldn't be, but I foolishly tried to tinker with the controller and now I can't get it to go backwards. Oh well, I can live without that feature for now.
I'm about to spend $325 on A&M student football tickets.
Heh, sucker.
At Arkansas student tickets were $1 a game.
Well, you get what you pay for :bz
According to my buddy these are second deck 40 yard line great seats. He's a med student, and I'm buying one of his classmates' passes. I just hope my student ID still works.
I'm flying to Tampa next month to see my grandmother so that's $600 in airfare.
Almost considered treating myself to first class since I've never experienced it before and 10 days in Tampa will likely result in me going completely insane but I'll suck it up and sit with the lowly commoners.
We went to dinner at Momofuku Ko and that was $dollars which was supposed to be our big splashy expense for the foreseeable future
then I found out I need $400 in dental work to keep from needing $texas in root canals and crowns and THEN my boyfriend shut the back gate on my station wagon and the rear window exploded and they never made an aftermarket part so that was $600 and frankly our expensive dinner has become the smallest expense we've had so far in April
ha ha ha yaaaaaay
I'm attempting to spend as few dollars as possible until I actually have a job/apt again, keeping what money I have in case something breaks. Managed to avoid buying a new graphics card by reflowing my old one though, which made me feel pretty badass for fixing something.
I got a $2000 tax return from the American government and then had to immediately pay most of it in taxes to the Canadian government. It turns out that working in one country and residing in another is not great for your finances.
In more exciting news, I bought a new Kindle a couple of weeks ago! I used to have the old third-generation one with the keyboard and now I have the sexy new one with the touchscreen and backlight.

Bought a new couch last month. That was a grand.
Bought a couple of secondary televisions for the bedrooms.
I wish I could say I've bought something for $1000 that was worth a lot more, that would be cool.

I have been doing my best to control my finances; from how much I spend on electricity to cooking at home than going out or ordering food. Been working pretty well but being frugal is mentally taxing.
I did just get 3 pax tickets for $90 and reserve a hotel room for around $900, but that will be split with other people and won't cost me anything until September. I wish I had more money to buy stuff though.

I just bought a place at the end of January, I went from being frugal for the last five years give or take to having spent about four and a half month's pay in the last two months or so.
At least most of that overrun was because of buying furniture and stuff, should ease off next month now that all that crap is done and out of the way.
I am in a debate about what to do with my tax return other than get some new shoes, clothes and glasses
I will be getting a bed as I am tired of sleeping on the couch
But with the amount that is left I really don't know I could get back into 40k because it's siren call is active once more

Since I got my new job last year and am no longer living paycheck to paycheck, I have been spending some dolla bills y'all...
I built a computer that cost almost $3000 (partially because computer bits are expensive here, partly because I GOTS ALL DA BEST SHIT MANG), I bought my girl a very nice flute (which thanks to a fucking comedy of various errors and fuckups we are still yet to see five months later), and we also have a nice new kayak for competing in the Avon Descent this year. You should see my paddle, all sexy carbon fibre and shit!

I spent a hundred thirty on a pair of shoes a few months ago
And two hundred for a monitor for my new computer which I'll be getting tomorrow but For Reasons, that is free
I do have apartment searching and costs to do, and two weddings and one trip to Vegas and hopefully another to see @Stale, and potentially London in October, and then costs of returning to school and getting a mode of motorized transportation and oh god being an adult is the worst thing

Being an adult is great!!!!
Uh-oh I accidentally deleted my signature. Uh-oh!!
$180 bucks. Worth every penny.
Usually if I'm dropping a grand or thereabouts, it's on a plane ticket to Taiwan.
This does not happen often.
So as a middle finger to da earth I spent that cash on a bottle of booze and the rest went to the red cross come at me Murphy's Law

My car definitely handles better though.
oh wait, not me, the insurance company. Eh, close enough.
As for $1000, that was what I would earn in a month+ at my last job. Maybe a month and a half.
Edit - No wait, not even, I could earn that in two months' time. Employment opportunities suck.
she looked very expensive

I have never been more thankful for health insurance than when I had my kids.
Not to scare you off or anything but for the love of God line up some benefits before you conceive.
I didn't even get a full tank.

Other than that I paid out roughly $3500 the past 12 months in dance education tuition, fees, tickets, costumes, and lodging for my two daughters.
Worth every penny to see them enjoy what they like to do.
it was great we didn't even know she was gonna be there! showed up and my friend who works there was like "psst third floor stairwell"
i wanted to start shouting her own birthday at her or something
About to spend 6k to send my son on a summer trip.
One day I may spend some money on myself for something fun.
