This is an old bug that I haven't noticed in a long time but has occurred rather frequently lately.
In short, if you make a post in a thread at the time that a new page is generated, it seems to never actually post. I haven't been able to notice reliably if it happens every time (also, it's pretty impossible for me to be sure I'm posting exactly as the page is turning over given the frequency of posting), or if it just happens "a lot".
I am terrible at Search, but I didn't see this on the first few pages, so I dunno if a thread already exists.
