The only games bigger than that I can think of were that big for dumb reasons (Max Payne 3 was full of uncompressed video, I think Star Wars The Force Unleashed had data for every language or something in it)

I can only assume that Absolution has a similar issue

that seems pretty small. batman is 17 gigs

Skyrim didn't come with the very high res textures by default, I think.

    Yeah.

    Yeah it is.

I'm very glad I decided to rent it, 'cuz paying anything more than a Gamefly subscription would have felt like a ripoff.

Aww dang. I rebought Blood Money a while ago because it was cheap and I wanted a steam version and that got me all excited for Absolution. I was going to buy it when I had some more cash.
    I guess I'm glad now that I didn't.

I wouldn't say it's a really awful pile of shit but it is pretty bad, especially coming after how rad Blood Money was.

But even by itself it's not very good.

Dead Space 3 is some good times

I thought it was all gonna be on this ice planet I was hearing about, but the first few chapters are in space and there's lots of opportunities to serenely fly around

Also I get to built my own guns!

I think way back when it came out all I saw was that the game wouldn't even start for you

Good to finally know your verdict on it

I think ultimately I can forgive it because it gave us this

The only bad part is that it's kinda short.
I'm really hoping they release more levels.

Should I reinstall and actually play/finish Bioshock 2 before playing Infinite?

Nah. Unless you want to, but it is entirely unnecessary for enjoyment of the latter.

Cool, I seem to remember not enjoying Bioshock 2 much, and Steam says I played it for less than 2 hours, so I was kind of hoping it wasn't terribly important.

    2 is better than infinite

    Tube nooooo :(

Well it is. I know it's like a meme to say that 2 was bad but it has the best gameplay of the 3. It has the worst story of the three, but it's still decently compelling. Infinite was really disappointing, and has the worst gameplay of the series so far. I guess people might like the story. I mean. I guess.

I thought Infinite had the best gameplay of the series by far, and I actually liked the combat a lot in all of them

WELL FUCK, NOW IT'S A DISAGREEMENT AND I NEED TO PLAY ALL THREE AND DECIDE.

    Thanks a lot, Tube.

I think I'm gonna buy Bioshock 2, if only to play Minerva's Den. I can play the DLC without playing the rest of the campaign, right?

  • Mr FuzzbuttMr Fuzzbutt Registered User regular
I didn't like the gameplay in 1. The shooting felt really awkward and the pipe connecting minigame was awful.

Infinite was pretty solid gameplay-wise though. There wasn't anything really special about the combat, but it was fun and the weapons felt good and it struck a good balance between taking cover and run & gun.

By the end of Infinite, every combat encounter made me groan. But I think that's because I was just dying to move the story forward and combat just felt like a time waste.

I really want to like 2 but it disagrees with my computer and decides to crash a lot, so I haven't made it very far yet.

Also I think it's kind of silly that(at least at the start of the game) it seems like you are the most fragile big daddy ever.

2 had really solid gameplay but man the story was literally just 1 only with communism instead of objectivism There was a daughter in there too

I still need to play infinite though

  • Vann DirasVann Diras Registered User regular
bioshock 2 gets really good toward the end, totally worth playing through

infinite is still the best bioshock though

Bioshock 2 has a much better gimmick part than Bioshock 1 did.

I held off on that bundle because I don't know anything about any of those titles
