Alright I got impatient and bought a 4-pack. 1 person who is not pipe or neotoma that has 11 bucks, PM me to buy a copy (Save 4 dollars off the game without having to wait for a sale!)

If you're still looking to offload that last copy this weekend, I'm down.

Man, this game is really satisfying when you take a moment to go back to the first missions from the later ones. Aside from accomplishing them faster / better with tricks you learn through natural progression, it actually replaces your score for that stage on your leaderboard count. I shaved off a good amount of time updating my completion times for the first few stages.
This game looks fucking awesome, but I'm waiting for XBLA so I can have people over and play it locally with beer and snacks and yelling. @#pipe, @Larlar, @bombardier, @mully, @Campion I'm looking at you. Or at least a subset of you at any one time because it's only a 4 player game.

This sounds amazing, and I'll see if I can use some of my amazon credit to purchase it for steam.
How hard will it be to play one handed? Thinking about my upcoming hospital visit.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
You only need the mouse for firearms, don't you? Pick any other item and it should be fine. WASD, shift to sneak, space to activate item. I think I only ever took an aimable item once when it wasn't the only thing available, in the last level of the first campaign. Go for a smoke bomb or EMP or wrench or anything else and the game should be easily playable one-handed on a temporary basis. The hospital level would be a pain, maybe.

I've learned the value of explosives in this game. Really bombs are superior to everything else. Got a heavily lasered room you want into? Drop a bomb to destroy some of that shit, run away, let the alert pass, smooth sailing~

Bombs and the EMP.
I just played this game for 6 straight hours, with a random 3 people. We rocked the entire first episode, got all the coins.
Wow, when you have 3 players with you that are just rolling on it, this game plays so well. And when it goes wrong, its a joy.

I'll keep the levels as spoilers but I made some more progress that was fun as hell.
At the royal mansion place (Place du Palaice I think it's called) I was having a hell of a time getting around anywhere. But then I realized there were explosives in the crypt, which made a world of difference (being that they're my favorite tool).
I cleared the Casino on my first try. It took some fumbling around but EMPs make a good secondary tool, and then I found explosives anyway. The VIP section was hysterical because it was pretty much all guards as the only security. I purposely got spotted, blew them up, then just made everyone panic as I picked up the remainder of the coins.
I just now had my first pass at the hotel and failed miserably, but I at least know what it wants me to do. I've been underestimating dogs in this game. That, or this level is the only one where their tracking REALLY shows.

That's where I'm at, now. First floor's a breeze, but that second one is gnaaaaarly.

@Ten, below is my official response to both you and the local media covering this post.
Much more methodical. You don't have the luxury of a bunch of other folks to cooperate with or distract the guards when things go nuts. So it's much more of a traditional stealth game.

Well it CAN be a stealth game finally.
Because you don't have people just bursting into rooms alerting guards because they saw something shiny.
I finally found this thread. Monaco is great guys. Monaco is really great. Multiplayer is hectic fun and singleplayer while frequently insanely difficult is very rewarding in its own right.
If you want to get together for some thieving....

Also... anyone know where I can pick up the soundtrack? Because it's also really great. Can't Resist is especially great, as is the very unusual mission in which it plays.
Edit: Nevermind, I saw the link on the first page.

To be honest, what few multiplayer games I was in kinda sucked.
I hate having to rush through this stuff, and of course other people who have done it before are not going to take their time, so I'm basically forced to rush along just to be useful, which is just very uncomfortable.
Seems like doing this in a hurry is kind of the opposite of how I like to play these kind of games, so multiplayer is more or less out of the question for me, for the most part.
Nah, Multiplayer can be slow and methodical too. It just depends on who you're playing with. And I honestly think Monaco is at its best when playing with other people so I don't think you should miss out.
Nah, it's like people that insist that Borderlands or Borderlands 2 is best as multiplayer. Not everyone digs that. Just because many prefer multiplayer doesn't mean that's the best way to play for everyone.

Who else hasn't bought this game and wants to play it?? Need two more for big savings (cause I'm poor)
Sup.
One more?

Ehhhhh, wouldn't be the easiest thing in the world
WASD and maybe a trackpad I could see but it wouldn't be pretty
How appropriate.

Start tunneling. Plant C4 at tunnel mouth. Tunnel further. Guards come to investigate tunneling noise, and explode.
It makes me feel legitimately bad for the little AI dudes.
Not bad enough to not do it, but still bad.
