However, the success chance of fusion is at a staggeringly low 1%. To compensate, they have very strong effects. An example would be the Thunderhead Enchantment. However, the real kicker here is that these "Lesser" versions may be fused again to gain a stronger version. Those may also be fused again to create the strongest version. Ultimately, the Greater Thunderhead Enchantment will have a 30% on crit to damage and stun foes. To create the strongest Enchantment possible, it will cost 160 dollars and 64 shards. Unlike companions, these can be used in PvP.
this is what's known in F2P as 'complete gacha' or 'kompu gacha'. the latter is in Japanese. Japan is also where this is illegal, because it is so incredibly exploitative that people were throwing away all kinds of money just to complete a set of digital vinyl toys or whatever. the western market, of course, is trying to cram it into as much stuff as possible because it's insanely lucrative. Imagine giving sixth-graders the ability to spend their allowance to get a foil Charizard by buying pieces of the card and gluing them together. And the glue is made of money.
i helped research and design this stuff at my last job. I view it like iocane immunity in the Princess Bride.
I do think it'd be cool to do a quest, but I'm not sure if I should be devoting a bunch of time to MMOs. Maybe this weekend I'll just power through it.
guys PvP is really fun and now I'm accidentally a level ahead of my levelling buddies
control wizard is F U N
Man I have had the complete opposite experience as a great weapon fighter. I've only done 2 matches for the daily thing and just got smashed into the ground each time. I think I need to have a pvp centric build, more slows and stuns than I normally run.

At level ~33, my first daily, Q, E, and R all have CC on them, so it'll probably be easier around there
by like 20 i had first daily Q, E all with CC. So try that out?
I don't have a ton of burst yet as a control wizard but there's something to be said for being able to force choke the other team's guardian (which does damage to nearby enemies with my tab skill) and then cast a vortex on him that does damage to his friends and then freeze him solid and then create a magnetic explosion that dazes his whole team

Yeah I kinda specced more towards doing AOE damage and crits, so I have one encounter that slows and the avalanche of steel daily that knocks them prone. Flourish once you hit 30 has an actual stun instead of a knockdown or slow which seems better.
PvPing as a Guardian Warrior so far has been pretty underwhelming. I've been enjoying my thief more, but at the same time there isn't much differing content to level with, and I don't like it quite enough to devote my inevitable alt time to a thief when I know I want to make a halfling wizard.

The knockdown on the hilt-bash one is huge, it lasts way longer than the stun. I usually hit the bash and when they get up, do the stun. It's super short though.
well yeah, I can see GWFs having a tough time at lower levels, I imagine things balance out later on
Pretty much every high-level GWF player says it's mediocre until ~35.
Which, now that I'm level 18 and have tried a control wizard, I can definitely see why they say that.
My biggest problem, though, is that GWFs seem to occupy a weird middle-ground between rogue and guardian. We're not really great at something so much as we're not bad at anything. Basically, it feels like a superfluous class; which is a shame, because hitting things with a giant sword is cool.
This is the message Maugrin and I get every new zone:
The monsters in this zone are significantly higher than your current level. Do you wish to venture forward?
The answer is always, always yes for us. I've died a total of two times, he's died once, in our leveling career. We are enjoying the fuck out of this game.
We are pretty much always on, so... send us a tell or something in the guild? We like to party.

I did the thief pirate one last night and it was pretty great, lots of hidden chests
Exactly.
it's on my to-do list.

Time to do some dungeon runs and skirmishes, I guess.
Dich made a Yoshi's Island combo for himself, which inspired me to do Yoshi's Story.
And here I was hoping the hood theme would catch on.

yo I had actual baseball cards like this
They could be our thing! Like we're a crazy cult that worships a comic book character.
