The Playstation Blog is, not specifically the Drop posts on it. Playstation Plus is generally talked about on Mondays. I -think- since they're doing monthly reveals now, the Monday posts (when they're not announcing the line-up in the first week) are basically just talking about the game that was announced to come out that week a little bit in-depth. But yeah, bookmarking the PS Blog is probably worth it.

So as I'd asked before, is there any kind of wizardry I can do to directly link my PS3 with my computer so I don't have to run an ethernet cable straight to it? Cause if I've gotta do that, then I'll need to buy a 50'-100' ethernet cord ._.

If you're willing to spend a bit of money (or know someone with the necessary skills), you can get an ethernet sockets put into an external wall of your house (as long as it's double bricked, otherwise they have to bash a blank conduit into your wall which is more expensive/messy) and have the cord run through your ceiling instead of across the floor.

I was more hoping a way I could literally connect my PC and PS3, as they are right next to each other. Guess I'll need to run a new cord and... *Checks newegg* Not buy it from Best Buy.

We actually got it run along the ceiling, keeping the cords out of the way with hooks.

You could take the ethernet cable that would normally go into your PC and stick it in a 4-socket ethernet switch which you can put in your PC area, then have a small ethernet cable going to your PC and a slightly longer one reaching over to your PS3.

That sounds like something I could do, although it would be a more expensive option. Would it affect the internet connection for my PC at all?

People with ethernet cable problems should just get a pair of powerline ethernet adapters. That way you can get an ethernet port anywhere in your home with a power outlet. Much faster and much more stable than Wifi.

Something like this is what you'd be after. I've got my TV and PS3 hooked up to my router via a similar switch and their connections are as stable as if they were plugged into the router itself.

Doesn't your house have to be wired a certain way for those things to work?

As long as it is all on the same breaker box, you're fine. My house has two, and the two outlets I need to hook up are (currently) on separate breaker boxes. So I has to set up a wifi bridge for my Xbox.

@Akilae It cycles out, and is a bit different depending on region. At the moment UK dudes get Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, ICO and Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection and Demons Souls. Earlier this month Infamous 2 and Sleeping Dogs were still available. Changes, but as long as you've tried to download them/purchased them off of the website they are yours for as long as your sub persists.

Ive run into a baffling issue...

I tried to purchase The Last of Us digitally and when i tried to confirm my purchase, i get "an error has occurred". Nothings wrong with my CC, but i tried a different card anyway. Same error. Called PSN support and everything seems fine. We decided that the servers were getting hammered cause the game is so popular, the lady said the same thing happened with BLOPS2.

Would this affect all digital downloads(and is anyone else experiencing this problem)? Because I cant purchase anything on PSN right now...

Question about PS+. I just subscribed today, and I have all those wonderful games in my free games collection. Do I need to download them now to play these games five months from now when they've been rotated out, or will these games always be available in my free games collection as long as I am an active subscriber?

You need to "purchase" them. As long as you purchase it while it's free it will remain available in your download list as long as you're in PS+ and you can download it at any time. You can purchase it and then back out once it gets to the point of actually downloading the game if you want.

All this wired/wireless talk reminds me that I have never once in the course of owning 2 PS3s (old 40GB model and new 120GB Slim) gotten this thing to play nice with my network. Every time I enable media sharing I'm able to see the media I keep on my PC, but a few minutes later the PS3 kicks me off PSN and then my PC in my office goes offline. I can still access the videos/music/pictures on the PS3 but I can't get online with my PC at all. I have to physically reboot the router to get it back up.

    Any ideas why this happens?

I was able to just enter the PS+ code on my PSP. Worked fine, then I could get all the PS+ games through the SEN. There's two or three I've wanted for a while, a couple I already had, and one or two I'd never play unless they were free.

Are there any free PSP games handed out through this? Or are they done with that?

There are, just not a lot. Tomorrow, Gods Eater Burst is getting a spot in the US IGC and I believe last month, Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny was in it. The Vita's IGC launched with Final Fantasy Tactics: WotL, even. Which, while it's being advertised for the Vita, it's still PSP games.

I have no clue what the problem could be either. Definitely isnt any of my debit/ CCs because i used one of em to buy Resident Evil DLC on WiiU earlier as a test. The card info and my billing address are correct too.

I've had this issue before, and it's a known problem. Some people say if you completely delete your billing info and then re-enter it, it resolves.

Customer support is useless with this issue, even if you're lucky enough to get someone that knows the error exists.

For me, I was only able to get around it by ordering pre-paid PSN codes from Best Buy, which you can order in increments of $20 or $50 and they'd send to you by e-mail. (seems they no longer carry them though)

Eventually, it just up and started working again on its own and now I can order directly from the PSN again. Go fig.

Ah, thanks @Unco-ordinated and @Donnicton. Your posts make me feel a little more at ease. Even though I knew it was highly unlikely that two separate credit cards would have issues at the same time, that's all I could think about last night(I have anxiety issues, you see). I tried again this morning before I left for work and still no dice. I'll try one more time when I get home, and then wait a few days if it still doesn't work. I technically don't need to buy TLoU right now anyway :P

I will say (even though two different people at Sony support were as baffled at my problem as I was) Sony support was fantastic. I called them up, listened to the prompts and pressed "0". Didn't even have to sit on hold. Phone rang and a person answered immediately. Then I had to call back because my phone dropped the call, and I sat on hold for less than 30 seconds before a very pleasant woman answered my call. Xbox support makes you sit on hold for 20+ minutes with this awful music(?)/56K modem static hybrid noise blasting through your phone...
