Yeah I had hoped the water thing would work but, it doesn't unfortunately. Nor does resting or waiting or quitting Oblivion and getting back on. I'm almost wondering if I'm stuck with it because I'm pretty sure it's bugged, because the actual buff has run out.
Oh and Zen, did you actually ever jump into the flame? X-box it might not bug out but it at least does on my PC.
Edit2: oh and yes, I completely wish I custom did my class instead of picking pre-made assassin because alchemy is a wasted skill. While poisons help as an assassin it's not worth it imo.
ok so does anyone know how to get rid of that damned flaming effect
Yes, deliver the flames to the cathedral in New Sheoth and the flames will go away.
Oh man I completely forgot about that
this is the second time I've gotten the flames btw, I'm all done with shivering isles I was just runnin around and jumped in the flames again. Thanks operative!

So, anyone else notice how SI has a much more Morrowind-esque feel as you walk the land. More narrow valleys with steep walls, forcing a longer journey on me. It is not a bad thing, as it is quite fantastic. I find some remarkable things because of this.
It think it's because people bitched about Oblivion looking too generic.
I want TES V to be somewhere outlandish. In the sky or something.
I know that I've said it before but I'll say it again:P , I really hope that the next game takes place in the Summerset Isles instead of rumoured Skyrim. I loved fucking around the Telvanni isles in Morrowind and the Summurset Isles would be like that a 100 times over and in a tropical climate to boot.

I don't want another fucking place with sprawling trees and shit.
I play as a Breton so it isn't as horrible as it would be with another race but it forced me to be a bit more careful when fireballs start flying. Now, an High Elf with the Apprentice sign is a clear sign of selfloathing though :P

Yeah. I picked a Breton. I don't hate myself that much.

However, having 450 fucking magicka is nice
No shit, I built my character to be a stealth mage but once enemies detect me I can start going into tactical nuke mode which feels pretty damn nice. To be honest I've found that I'm barely trying to backstab anymore, sneaking is just a way to put myself in a nice position for some rough, unlubed electrical rape for whatever chump Daedra standing in my way.
Just hit master marksman today at lvl 34, oh man when the paralyzation procs it's heaven, so great.
Is the zoom-function any good? I never got a char high enough to try it out.
It's nice for lining up sneak shots.
Sometimes though, I can't use it, because you can only hold down so many buttons on the keyboard at once before it stops recognizing more inputs. So I have to sacrifice zoom for the sake of jumping to give my arrows that extra bit of arc so it hits the target dead on.
So, I have a question involving general Oblivion stuff.
If you have an enchanted weapon, and poison it, which kicks in first? Could you, for example, have a weakness to magic effect that kicks in before damage that's categorized as magic and therefore add some extra pain in?

I'm not sure how it works with Damage-over-Time, though. If both weakness to fire and a fire DoT are on a target, I think it would do more damage than without the weakness applied.
I have a Breton with a Mundane Ring (you can get one guaranteed if you run through the main quest at at least level 22). I'm immune to magic (although I can still use restoration and other spells on myself)

That happens? Huh.
Oh yeah it happens, and when you talk to people they say, "Do you know you're on fire?"
And I go, "oh really? I had no fucking clue because ALL I CAN SEE IS FLAMES"

Can you rest for an hour, maybe that resets it?
Never noticed. Still.

It's been mentioned twice so far that I know of, once by me. :P
But yeah, it's a lot of fun.
Steam Support is the worst. Seriously, the worst

Im pretty sure everyone who played the game did that, he was so underpowered i thought they had a bug with his scaled levelling.

Well there goes that plan.
