My problem these days is that I'm having trouble surviving. Especially against reflect damage mobs.
You need life steal on your weapon. It's a huge deal. ESP with reflects damage.
Ahh. Is it worth staying Archon these days? I haven't played in a while. The only thing I didn't like about the Explosion CM Wizard was the onset of Carpal Tunnel from 1234 spamming.
Archon is my favorite wizard spec, and it scales very well. The only caveat I have is that they have said they intend to nerf it by the xpac, so you have to decide do you want to lean on it now, knowing it is going to be taken away, or just learn some new style. (This also applies to CM wiz)
I think virtually any spec i viable up to about MP4, and if you aren't ALREADY crushing MP10, don't bother. The loot 2.0 / xpac are going to change too many things. Just stick with low MP, use whatever works for you until those changes cause it's going to be a whole new world then.

I wouldn't bother learning CM at this point, archon is good and doesn't take unnecessary energy in gearing
I'm watching console players on twitch and it's funny seeing people with single digit paragon levels who just entered inferno running around with weapons that would cost hundreds of millions of gold if not at least a billion gold.
Archon isn't so good for multiplayer though, cause you're all "RARGH, KILL, SLAY, SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE, FUEL MY MURDER MACHINE, TELEPORT, RUN, GO, GO, GO" and a lot of the other classes are all "woah, slow down, I don't have teleport and critical mass".
Forget those insects. You are an engine of death. You're better off without them. They're just jealous of your all-consuming power.
Ya, get life steal, then consider a cheap shock pulse stone of jordan. More damage = more life steal.
I can't tell what your rings are from mobile, but as long as your dps isn't dropping too much in the switch you could come out ahead.
Just search all armor types and filter on bonus to elites (min. 20%) and +max arcane power. You'll get only wizard soj's, and probably find one for < 1 mil. If your rings are better than that, carry on!
I know it's early and review scores are crap and all that, but I'm kind of curious why the 360 version is rating a few points higher than the PS3 version at GR/Metacritic.
Also, they're both right around/a bit below the PC version's score.
Sure, the 20-30% bonus to elites applies to any skill.
edit: against regular enemies - no - but regular enemies are so easy to kill anyway.
I meant the shock pulse part.
Obviously not, but he is using shock pulse if archon is down...
Is Shock Pulse good? The numbers on it (Living Lightning) always looked really crappy to me, but am I missing something and it's actually decent (for a signature)?
Officially the unluckiest CCG player ever.

Josh Mosqueira posted another tweet saying pc gamers shouldn't fret there are surprises coming soon. Maybe loot 2.0 will come sooner than a few weeks before the expansion.

if loot 2.0 comes before the end of the year I will be playing so much diablo 3
Even if the end result is a barely noticeable increase in Paragon 2.0 points I'm actually having fun grinding plvl, now that I'm much less worried about drop quality or leaving my "alts" in the dust.

Surprise! It isn't coming at all.

Loot 2.0:
All affixes except Thorns, +Health from Globes/Potions, +Life per kill, and Indestructible have been removed from the game.
+Light radius has been added to the game.
Best coefficient that doesn't use arcane power, yes. Archons don't need no apoc.
Actually, since he wouldn't be using LL for the damage anyway, wouldn't it be best just to get the cheapest 6%/30% SoJ possible, regardless of skill affix? At least if he's on a budget that is. Maybe cold damage too for the snare?

Maybe, maybe not, it's all very vague. We do know that there are still unannounced features in the expansion, which will probably be revealed at Blizzcon.

Vague is right. It's like a game of telephone: He didn't say "soon" he said "coming". It's been coming for half a year. So yeah, lets hope Blizzcon is full of stuff to make it worth the wait.

Also, does this thread encompass the console D3 or is there a console one going now too?

Makes sense to have the console folks on here for now, if it gets too busy it can split off into its own thing.
I can probably get you a weapon. Friend me and I will check tonight.
Edit* Changed the thread title to be console inclusive.

you shouldn't ever have to use it though
There is something to be said for kb/mouse controls of course, but I think the movement system with the dodge roll more than makes up for that.

however he might not be available when ros hits so I might need some of you to level with
ill also stream it probably

No, you don't. I had potato soup for lunch and the cheese is not sitting well.
The skill affix can roll a whopping 14%, which can be significant on higher MP where monsters don't melt instantly.
Is all that really matter for Archon.
And the 6% vs 5% is more important than you think, especially if you have a black weapon.
