Its not a big deal, but I remember my dad telling me every little thing counts, anyways, I need advice on what to do with my hair for appearing in front of a judge for fighting in school. I didn't know about this until five minutes ago and my dad has to do it early tomorrow, so a haircut is not really probable or preferred. I have a nice outfit all picked out so I think I have that covered. Also advice on what I should say (if I need to speak) and any other pointers would be much appreciated.
Make it look as nice as possible. Washed, combed, etc. Be apologetic, sincere, don't mouth off or interrupt the judge.
In my experience the more contrite, responsible, and apologetic you are, the better things will go for you.

'Fuck yeah, me too. What little kid ever pretended to be part of the lynch-mob?'
I'm sure it'll be fine if it's combed nicely, it'll look adequately "neat".
Dress nicely, try to remember your manners, if you're testifying or anything DO NOT interrupt, that makes you look rude and impertinent.
Don't say anything unintelligent or demeaning, if they ask why you fought someone and it's because they called your girlfriend a "dirty skank" just say, they said some rude things about your girl, and then if further pressed, directly quote it. (This is for whatever scenario, I'm just making one up).
That's all, dress nicely, don't be smacking on any gum, don't slouch or "slump" in your chair. Be attentive, and try not to roll your eyes at anything.
Make sure your bangs can't get in your face while you are there. You don't want to have to be playing with it while you are standing there and it is disrespectful to have it hanging in your eyes.
Say hello to Community Service. Everything in this pic cries 'congenial slacker', a prime target to be made an example of. I would recommend a hair-cut actually, and pretty much anything to say how serious you're taking it, because the less perturbed and serious you look, the more the judge is going to increase the penalty and lecture to make you take it seriously.
Wear a suit, comb your hair, and make like the Wrath of God could decend from the judge at any time to consume you with its fire. As mentioned, be polite, for fuck's sake don't EVER interrupt the judge, and take a notepad. If you're up against someone, like a witness who is charging you, instead of blurting out how your opponent is full of crap, make point notes to defend one by one when it's your turn to talk - you will have one, it's part of the process. If you have an attorney, go over your story with them.
