That would be the only way anything makes sense. Fish only generate in the river and along the coastline, but bugs can generate pretty much anywhere within their own individual parameters.

I wondered if there was an overall limit to the number of fish / bugs that could spawn on the island at any given time. Say, 10 total mob spawns. If there are 6 fish shadows, there could only be 4 bugs active...or something like that.

So I ordered some furniture from a Happy Home Showcase house yesterday, but it's not in my mail. Does it take more than one day, or is it not really mailed to me and I have to get it somewhere else?
Mail usually* only delivers at 9am and 5pm. HHA might be a bit slower, so expect it on the second "shipment" after you order?

*You used to be able to force a delivery by packing the mailbox, but that doesn't hold any more. I have seen deliveries sometimes triggered by a visitor arriving, though.

The pond can only have one fish in it at a time but I have had one fish and one water beetle at the SAME time so I would have to say it's different.
