Is it sort of a squelchy noise? When a resident is angry, they make a weird noise and little dark beads of anger fly off of them. It looks like they have fleas, tbh.

sometimes they actually have fleas, also. you can catch them with your net, and they will thank you for it. it makes a weird noise when theres a flea on someone nearby, and you can see it jumping around on them if you know what youre looking for.
Oh another question. Sometimes when I am walking around I hear a sort of "sparkle" twinkling sound, I assumed that it was supposed to simulate the sound of rain hitting something but I am still hearing it tho it isn't raining. Anyone else have this happen?

Data: Conn and I had the same tours, so the tours seem to be universal, not randomly generated on each island.
Additional data: After we got done on my island, I went into international waters on Club Tortimer, and wound up with a completely different set of tours playing with some British lady.
I buried a time capsule for my neighbor Freya, to be recovered at a later date. Now its missing. I suspect someone removed it while my town was open the other night, even though I thought I hid it fairly well (behind Freya's house.) I hope she doesn't ask for it back.

Anyone know how to catch a little creature I keep seeing in my river? It has the shadow of a house fly and keeps submerging and resurfacing. My net does nothing, and it shows no interest in my fishing rod.

Agreed. The mannequins are useful for that. You can click one and "wear this" to swap clothing. But you have to go to your home to do that.

Every day, a new rock appears in your town. Hit that rock with a shovel, and it will break to reveal a gem. (Not to be confused with one fo the existing rocks that will produce bells.)
In the case of that green cabinet, you need an emerald and a green cabinet. Take both and talk to Cyrus, and give him the cabinet to refinish. Ask his opinion on the finish and he will notice the emerald. Give it to him, and he will return that sparkling item in about 30 minutes.
Added my 3DS friend code to the list on the first page. This is my first Animal Crossing game since the original on the Gamecube and I'm hit with quite a bit of nostalgia.
I can only imagine how much of my life that this will suck away from me now.

Yeah. The catalog is a nice step in that direction, but they need to abandon the status of "unorderable" from items.
