I'm level 8--almost level 9--and I want to get to level 10 for foil cards, but I only have 11 total card drops left. Do I have to use up the cards I get from my remaining drops to reach level 10? Is there any way to get more drops after that?
I think once you have got all the cards it says, that's it for that game. Stops people grinding them out to sell I guess.
If it helps I've been level 10 from when this started and I haven't had a single foil card drop yet. Got one more to drop for Borderlands 2 then I'm going to do Portal 2 and Half life 2. Not sure if I'll spend any money on DOTA2 to get the cards for that. Is there anything worth buying on it?

The only way to get more drop is to buy badge games (CS:GO and BL2 are on that list now), or spend money on F2P games (every $9 nets you one drop).
You can boost your level by buying Don't Starve sets. ~$6 for +100 XP.
How do I get an invite into the PA G&T Steam group? On a related note, I won a Steam Gifts giveaway from the regular PA group and the guy totally stiffed me... I was looking forward to playing Civilization 5 too.
That doesn't sound like us. Did it maybe wind up in your spam folder?

Oops. That was me. That was my first steamgifts giveaway and I didn't really understand how steamgifts worked. I just picked randomly between 1 and 5 and gave it away. Sorry about that. I've impaired your Civ building.
Huh. Apparently my wife paid some extra bills, and our checking account is in the looow triple digits. Guess I won't be buying Remember Me after all.
At least I bought Gunpoint before I found out it was a totally irresponsible thing to do.
I wonder just how long it will be before the first news headline: Man sells his newborn child for Steam wallet Funds
A man was arrested today for selling his 80 day old child on the Steam Marketplace. His pleas of "I just need one more card to unlock a showcase" were met with scorn by the arresting officers, who were appaled at his low offer price of 18.89.
"He could have gotten at least a foil card, maybe a copy of Frozen synapse, and Crusader Kings II. This idiot was actually trying to sell a copy of Portal for 5.99." --cont on page 3

You might already have this but I'm cleaning out my inventory. Not sure what I'll do with the 25 DOTA 2 invites. I've also got an Arma3 Alpha invite and a couple of trading card beta access tokens if anyone wants them.
I'll take an invite. I have a friend who wants in, and they apparently don't give you any beta invites if you are already in the program, like me.
I meant trading card beta invites, @albino bunny and @tpsou, but the ARMAIII and Rising Storm beta invites are much appreciated. I will see if they can run on this machine.
So if i want to increase my allowed card drops, what do i need to do? just buy something on the steam market or do i need to specifically buy something from the mannco shop, and if thats the case, does it matter what i buy?
how many cards will i be able to unlock per purchase
$9 spent in the store gets you another card drop is what I've heard.
How it was explained to me is that if you were legacy on TF2, you are grandfathered in. If you spent an additional 9$ since, you can get 1 additional card drop(and only 1). otherwise spending the 9$ gets you access to the base (3?) drops.
I have spent well more than 20$ over the years and it only gave me 1 extra drop over the normal base.
Anybody who doesn't own Bully should pick it up as it's friggin' great. I don't know if the PC version is a poor port, but I played it to 100% completion on the 360 and loved every minute of it.
Anyone having issues with the Mobile app today? I've been trying to stay signed in to make a purchase and it keeps closing the app on me.
I've got a question about that. If I purchase from app will it download to my pc if I have the steam client open on my pc?
It can do, you need to select it from the library though.
The one thing I don't like about it is that it installs to the default steam location, which for me is on my SSD. Which is fine for some things, but most stuff I prefer to install to my larger spindle drive.

Steam Mover. Sure it's after the fact, but it fixes the problem. Unless you're Team Fortress 2, which for some reason won't move over.

True. That can save some time; install to SSD, move when I get home, but really, I never get to play games right when I get home anyway. Le sigh.

I have heard bad things, but apparently a lot of people cite it as the best Rockstar game ever made. I don't see how that could possibly be, but I'm curious enough to give it a shot.
Those who want to get the daily, I feel I should point out it's a full buck cheaper in GreenMan, and using the code GMG20-LLASD-D8WBQ makes it another 20% off, which is almost two bucks cheaper! That's almost enough for a whole other game on sale!
I loved Bully. Something about the fights felt more visceral and brutal than most M-rated games. It has that air of Batman about it where you're all, "well, I just curbstomped your head and beat on you relentlessly for minutes on end... but you'll be fine. Walk it off." Plus, dat soundtrack.
If I were to buy the GTA4, LA Noire, Max Payne set on Amazon with Steam codes for $12, does anyone know if the GTA4 key and the Episodes from Liberty City are separate or if I'll be able to activate it if I already have GTA4? I really want to give MP3 a try...

Well, I don't know, but Amazon bundles are separate keys like 90% of the time.
I'm looking at the CAG list of Steam games on that Amazon sale. I could have sworn Shoot Many Robots was more well received than it was, but Metacritic has made it clear that it was not. I enjoyed what I played of the demo on PS3. Was it any good?
Also, Cargo: The Quest for Gravity. I recall it being just the right kind of "what the fuck" weird. It was some sort of race car game, right?
edit: Some of the best Amazon sales are through the rest of this month, so I'm getting a bit overwhelmed with all the backlog expanding possibilities.

I booted up Cargo, walked around, kicked some tiny naked guys, then got frustrated with controls trying to stand on a raft I believe, and quit and haven't tried returning to it yet.
The Amazon sale is just generally a goldmine. If I hadn't had that whole bank debacle right now I'd be buying all the shit.
The only downside is entering all the damn keys... At least it's eleven instead of 22 like with CK2 that I was forced to buy last week. Plus I still haven't entered my keys from the latest Humble Indie Bundle.
Just finished Tomb Raider. Very good, not sure now why it took me so long. I don't like to boast but that's two games finished this week (possibly also this year but meh...details)

Mmhmm...interesting...and would you say this "kicking tiny naked guys" experience was worth 2 dollars?

Probably. I have a very hard time not getting $2 of entertainment out of games though.
The controls weren't bad enough for it to get tagged with my "Crap" tag, so I still intend to go back and give it another shot.

Are we talking about Sword of the Stars: The Pit?
It appears to be $4.99 on both Steam and GMG. Though the 20% GMG coupon does bring it down to $4.00. That's getting close to "willpower destroying" levels.

I've given out both
As in, just five seconds ago I gave it to a friend who wasn't sure on the game.

However for two minutes after he got his two (and only) kills he was hyped as fuck.
Also hearing his rage was hillarious.
