SE's new home and MySQL woes

I seem to be getting the re-occuring MySQL errors that had until recently been exterminated by some session-limiting coding the admins had done. Has SE's new move fussed that all up?

It seems to be limited to the new SE++ location...

I got jailed because I made a joke at Exo's expense, but he jumped to the conclusion that I was mocking him. And then proceeded to ignore the fact that I wasn't making fun of him. Not that that would be reason enough to jail someone anyway.

Actually, I jailed him, to fix the thread at the time. Since alpha clearly knows about this now, I'll just go ahead and unjail him.

I know a handful of ways to fuck with the forums using bbcode. The thing is, I regard it somewhat like a gentler goatse, you can do it, but everyone gets pissed at you for it. The templating (bbcode) code is batshit insane. Nathan Codding, the guy who made it, was either brilliant in ways I can't fathom, on some programmer-centric crack, or both.

I think the error lies partially with phpBB, but a large part of the blame is on our specific template. I just dont have the time right now to sit down for 8 hours and re-work it all. (I have said this before, it is probably still searchable in the Monkey Den) Many people have showed me stuff like this, but to be honest, it is so far down on my todo list, I dont even sketch up ideas of how to fix it. I understand it bugs people, but here is the deal, if someone abuses BBCode we will remove his\her right to use it. Plain and simple.

To go through every template file in phpBB and then reference that against bbcode.php would take about 2-3 hours, multiply that by the number of errors and assume I keep getting better finding and fixing them, yeah, 8 sounds about right. If I were to fix one part of the template engine I might as well fix the whole thing, so it would require me to rewrite the template code entirely.

Well I think it has something to do with the post length limit, but I doubt it and would have to do some experimentation, which I can't do and is your job besides. If I can do anything to help...

I actually thing the BBCode parser is out of order. It has problems with improperly nested elements.

No, it'll eventually prune you down to 100% by deleting the oldest messages. Mine was at 200% for a long time.
