What's the difference between draft and sealed gauntlet?
I believe that sealed is "you open your packs, and that is what you have to work with" vs. draft which is "choose one card, then pass the rest down until you have selected what you have to work with".
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it. ~ Terry Pratchett
Yeah draft you're sitting down at a table with other people and passing, sealed gauntlet you crack 6 packs on your own and make a deck at your leisure. They do sealed tournaments that aren't gauntlet with timers and stuff too on occasion.
Not that I really expect to there to be a lot of back story in text, but is there somewhere that has some background on the characters referenced in the cards and how the story is put together? I imagine that we'll learn more about the world as the PvE stuff comes out, but, for example, take the card "Scorn of Oberon". Who is this Oberon fellow? Why is he full of scorn?

Oberon was one of the two Primals of Elves. He performed a powerful magical ritual that destroyed his body and turned him into a force of raw wild magic - and then destroyed the attacking Underworld forces. His wife Titania remains, now the only Primal of Elves.

Bulwark of Faith is insanely better than I read it. I read it as Troops you control gain +1/+1 and you get one armor. Its actually all your troops get +1/+1 and give you one armor per troop!

Don't forget the equipment that makes it Armor 2 per troop. Or the one that gives you a random warrior before applying the effect.
I think it's one of the cards where the equipment is mutually exclusive though.
Oh, thanks! I completely missed them looking through the site.
Also, @gjaustin, I was looking at your tradelist and was interested in what you wanted for the crypt dust. My collection list is here: http://hex.tcgbrowser.com/#!/cards/collection=22105 (I think this link will work? Do I need to set anything to make it "public"?). I don't have a tradelist setup, but I'm not particularly interested in orcs or vennen, so those would be the ones I'd look to trade first, and certainly any that I have more than 4 of (of course).
This goes for anyone else too, if there are some cards you'd like I'm certainly up for trading. I'd say the decks I'm most actively collecting for are 5-shard necrotic, ruby/wild coyotle, or ruby/sapph jank bot

I think my new favorite card for beating up on AI opponents is Morphology (with equipment). Computer often forgets to play the action that goes into their hand, so after removing a troublesome troop, you get to draw an extra card per turn for the rest of the game. Great!
Sealed draft, me on a spider deck, my opponent playing red green. I start out strong but he stabilizes and it's looking grim for me. He clears out all of my troops and plays this:
It comes to me, but I'm dead this turn unless I can kill him. I've got no cards in hand but I top deck this:
He's got 9 health and the Chark swings for 12 damage! He immediately quits the game. I felt so bad for him.
I have an extra Actor's Cap @Darkewolfe We can work out a trade or sale.
Awesome.
In other news, I got wrekt in a draft. I had a pretty great spider deck, then first round I ended up in the mirror match. He'd gotten more mill than me and that was it.
I am really, really getting my ass beat by the chained goliath on my elf mage. I was always able to squeak out a win with other characters, but the mage basically dies just from having such low life to guaranteed damage. I never get the chance to stabilize the board, I just die.
Edit: fuuuck. Got him to 3. Still died the turn he popped.

I hate that entire dungeon. It took me for god damn ever to beat the chained goliath with my elf cleric. I ended up hoarding low cost blockers I could drop once he activated his board clear and card draw.

Yeah, I've figured out how to do it with my warriors and clerics. It's the mages that are just stumping the hell out of me.
What is this I don't even.

I cleared Chained Goliath a while back with my Elf Mage. I'm going to guess the answer was "Adaptotron", as it is to most other things. That thing is just really good against AI.

Yeah, it does tend to give the AI fits. Also, you should have enough time to pump it up to have it survive the goliath's board clear and having just one guy down that can block is a huge help. Double points if you have the equipment that gives a target troop lifedrain. I don't know how many times the healing from it has helped me win a fight.
I got my necrotic mage through that fight with adaptatron and (and this is a bit cheezy) Eye of Lixil's (which if you have a ruby threshold, are immune to his board clear.
Though, if you think that Adaptatron is good against the AI, Eye of Lixil's are like it's Gordion knot. The AI has no concept of shard immunity (or at least which shards Eye has immunity). The AI will constantly burn/ragefire/crackling bolt an Eye with red shard immunity.

I'd been coming at it with more red burn, which hasn't been working. I'm at five health when he flips. Think I'll try both of your suggestions, thanks.
Huh, finally pulled it off with my base deck. Perwinkle into double Titania's Majesty by his turn four which landed me an eternal guardian and a rootfather. The eternal guardian shielded everyone else from the pop and that was that.

After reading this post, the sequence of events is as follows:
1) Hmm, I wonder what Titania's Majesty is?
2) (Looks up Titania's Majesty on the hex tcg browser)
3) :pop:
4) Holy cow where have you been all my life, Titania! ;-)
Seriously, I got to get my hands on a few of them.

I sympathize even more with your situation after yesterday, Darke. I tried getting my coyotle mage through the chained goliath (though on the way to the dungeon, I got an Angel of Glory, woo!), and boy was he tough without Eye of Lixil's (I try to keep the spirit of my decks, so I don't use any underworld cards with ardent heroes, and vice versa). I would have had him (or at least had a very good shot of killing him), if my damned tornado spell didn't do 0 damage twice. I kinda understand how they need to have some randomness (would straight 1 damage be too much to ask? maybe as a talent?), but maybe at least do the damage roll on each troop separately? I mean, 3 damage to all troops will flat out win most games, while 0 damage can just tank a precarious situation.
Ended up beating him on a second go through, while packing a couple shard wards, and had one on hand for his breath. Having the shard ward for his breath made the fight go relatively easy.
Edit: I think my favorite race/class combos (in no particular order) are:
Coyotle Cleric - Wild/Diamond works really well together, and there are enough solid clerics (particularly between humans and coyotle) that you can take huge advantage of cleric boosting powers (lifedrain, steadfast). Righteous paladin is just crazy in this deck, especially with the extra zodiac blessings to heal/cycle through the deck.
Elven Warrior - Ruby/Wild (with elves) already has the ability to ramp quickly, and put on top of that, the charge ability to get 2 more resources (or occasionally to remove a bothersome troop), you can put out your big guns super speedy like.
Necrotic Mage - While I don't quite have cards to make synergy to really shine yet (though from the primal dawn stuff I've heard, apparently there will be more cards to help this deck out) the fun in stealing dead mobs from the AI, or just straight off their deck (from the racial/class power) and using them to kill the AI (how do *you* like being poisoned, Mr. Killipede?!, or how do *you* like being burned, Mr. Zombie!?) is not to be overlooked.
Anyway, just some thoughts. Anyone else have some favorite race/class combos?

I feel like mages don't get enough benefits to make up for their low HP total.

I have to say, when I saw the name, I thought it was a Star Trek reference (Darmok and Jalad), but thats probably just my free association kicking in.
You are not alone.
After seeing that, I had a sudden urge to name my (eventual) Necrotic character Jaladalaj.

Yeah. I think set 4 might have the best limited pool do so far.

There's also pages for the races, factions, various characters, locations, etc. They're all under the Story dropdown on the main Hex site.

Is there a convenient/quick way to manage tradelists through the hex tcg browser? It's sort of a pain in the ass to manually adjust with their system.

Don't think elves can run blood, though that's a good solution to several other things.

Titania's was so OP it was banned from PvP.
