I think his charges are kinda funky, they're not displayed (iirc) before he breathes, and in times that I've popped it early, he's had 5 charges, and sometimes (even after several turns), he's just had 6, iirc.
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it. ~ Terry Pratchett
His charges aren't displayed at the start because he doesn't have a charge power in the first form, but according to the tooltip, he gets one charge per turn, and that jibes with the number of charges he has when he flips.
When I had the thought about draining charges, I was momentarily excited, but on a quick look through a card list, Death Cap was basically the only thing I could find.
So I logged into hex like 2 months ago and put all my boosters up for auction at the going rate (first set), I logged in the other night and they have all sold. I now have 15,000 platinum.
This apparently is a large amount of money and I am now set to draft until the end of time.
The Set 4 preview for tomorrow is supposed to be a female Vennen.
Wait, what?
Does anyone have a link to the cards they revealed during the competition over the weekend? I watched the stream for a little while, but I haven't found anywhere that collected all the reveals into one spot.

Basically the Vennen Queen kills all the female Vennen that hatch... the female Vennen evidently is Ardent faction and has something about going after the Vennen Queen in the flavor text.

Really tired of set 3. I think I shall wait for Primal Dawn to do any more drafting. Winter Moon is a lot of fun to play though. Still haven't pulled off a 5 win Constructed Gauntlet, but I can routinely get 3-4, which means I come out slightly ahead on plat, depending on pack prices.
Uh, one of the equipment for Awaken seems like it's mostly a nerf of the card?
No equipment: create two Necrotics of cost <= 4, put them into play
With equipment: create two Necrotics of cost <= 5, put them into your hand

I think you are confusing the two equipments. Or maybe its worded poorly. One puts it back in your hand if a human dies the other lets you get up to 5 cost necrotic. I used it today, its awesome.

I'll have to check, but I think thats a typo? I thought that too, but I had used that card once with the equipment, and I think it still put the necrotics into play. I probably should double check that.

I noticed that. Mindpyre Revenants are good, but its easier to get those with the Angel.
The racial resources are pretty much what everyone expected. Dwarves are R/S/Worker Bot, Shin'hare are W/B/Battle Hopper, Humans are R/S/D, and Orcs are R/B/Random Orc gets Rage 1.
I managed to complete my Set 3 PVP playset last night by opening my final Windsinger last night in comp draft. Played a crazy Winter Moon mirror in second round and ended up losing to time in match 3 but also partly because Incubation Webs cast on my Dreamsmoke Mystic didn't revert properly when I used my Mecha Filk Ape power ability. So I opened a support ticket and got a draft ticket out of it to boot.
So, RNGesus hath smiled upon me, and I opened up a shattered destiny pack to find...
Reese the Crustcrawler!
So, now I'm conflicted. I could try to make a concerted effort to make a decent dwarf/artifact deck to make use of him (currently I just have a kinda silly Jank Bot deck) or.... I could AH him so I could get some of those dreamwalkers and windsingers that I've been wanting for my coyotle deck.
I just don't know!

Alright, you guys sold me, I'll figure out how to use him.
And, this might sound like a silly question, but is there a trade interface in the game? I wanted to trade some cards with a friend, and the best we could do was just send mail to each other. Is that the only way to do it?

If you sync your account on this site, it will make a trade list for you, then you can click trading post and try and trade.
Competitive draft feels really bad when you lose.

I don't play spiders I lose to spiders. I play spiders and I lose. Stupid spiders!
There seems to be some kind of update today? Dunno what it is, but had to download some extra stuff right now, but I don't see any word on any patch.

Anyone know a good site for trading? This site seems good because it matches wishlist to tradelist but I swear 50% of people just ignore the trade request completely, and 25% decline for no reason even though I favor other people over myself in every offer.
I'm kinda confused. You keep mentioning "this site", but you haven't given a link (that I've seen), so I'm not sure what site you're referring to.
And, I think many (not myself, but from what I've picked up in the in-game chat) people seem to prefer working through the AH, by converting their cards to plat, then buying the cards they want, instead of direct card trades.

That I think is the main issue. I really thought there was one, until I tried to just trade (well really just give) some cards to a friend, and the only way we found was to just do it by mail.
So, I guess you're just on the honor system about trades? You can just discuss in chat or some other way, then just mail the cards to each other?

I haven't done any trading, other than converting cards to plat and vice versa. Hex.tcgbrowser is a good site though, @38thDoe . I see your link in there.
Direct card sales are better than the AH if you can. The AH takes a 5% cut and is often overpriced. You can usually get a better deal. But for expensive stuff, it's worth it to ask in trade chat to work out a deal.

I swear he stealth edited it! (I can see it now.) Either that or I'm goin' crazy. Maybe both!

So... how do you draft a Red/Green Ramp deck?
I got some big cards, some little cards that boost mana. First game goes okay, second one don't draw enough shards and lose. Third game ramp actually works get three huge monsters in, but he has 2 quick troops that boost defense and two combat tricks I lose everything than lose the game, match and a week worth of grinding. Is that pretty normal? I can't seem to get anywhere in this game.
You probably want to play standard Draft which is Swiss so you'll at least play 3 best of 3 matches. People have a really good handle of set 3 drafting at this point so it'll be pretty tough as someone new to drafting to win in comp draft.
However once set 4 drops that'll level the playing field across the board so would be a good time to really start hitting the drafts. Maybe try saving up for that?
I really hope they nerf that stupid wintermoon spell, 2 cost is fucking ridiculous for what you get out of it; what the hell do you do against that spell beyond getting a wicked aggro start?

That makes a lot of sense.
So earlier everyone said it was very wasteful to open chests unspun. Which I'm thinking about doing again. I have two rare chests, to spin both is almost a pack worth of gold. Doesn't really sell for much on the AH, heavily contemplating just opening them.
My OCD won't let me open unspun chests but yes spinning rares is probably not worth it to the average player. On the other hand I did get a Slaughtergear's Reaver on a Rare spin the other day and you can get Hearts which will upgrade you to Primal chest off of a rare. But that is gambling a lot and if you don't have a lot of currency its probably better to just open Rares.
I would definitely recommend to spin rares, but think about other things. Rares can double upgrade into a Primal and are WAY more cost effective than a legendary chest. But I also had a shitload just sitting around.

For example the one that lets King Lodegan's Call create spirits of any shard is worse because the good spirits are almost all Diamond anyway.
