Ever think you are doing one thing for a deck, than switch to another and forget to change your champion? In a draft >_<
Who cares because I drafted Crocosaur, and Myrim, Empress of the Crypt so I'll take my probably zero wins.
edit: Apparently they are less valuable than 700 plat. Now back to feeling sad/hoping to win one.

Ugh Got Milled out today against a spider deck. Didn't have any big cards, just spiderling hero power, incubation webs, psychic torment, psychic acolyte on my turn to lock down my guys. For 10 turns I could have won if I could just swing with my flyer, but nope, spiderling every turn.
How do you play against that? Should I just draft spiders every draft to avoid having someone be able to get all the spiders? I actually had a great deck but there was nothing I could do.

If you realize (and I admit this is kinda hard to do) that the spiders aren't cycling around (someone's picking them up), I usually do pick a spider or two, when there's nothing particularly appealing, just to mess with those trying to go spider.
Also, I don't know if this strat is particularly helpful, but by dumb luck, I built a 60 card deck once in draft, fought 2 spider guys, and it noticeably reduces the chances of drawing spiders, and I won rather handily.

In my experience you have to get established early before the spider deck can start firing, and you will need solid removal spells to quickly eliminate spider generators. There are also certain cards you can be on the lookout for that can give you a win condition against those decks; staggering blast is the big one, probably lullaby, highlands blackbelts etc.
I'm going to just so I don't have to go through Gameforge if I ever buy more plat. I don't like them as a payment processor. Plus will be able to turn Steam credit or gift cards into plat when I get any.

Oy, that does kinda put the kibosh on the crazy openings that were possible. I'll still probably keep them in my Wild/Sapph coyotle deck, but they're (obviously) gone from my wild/ruby one. Might keep the skarn though, I dunno.

Yeah, I'll be keeping the actual Wild cards in my Elf Warrior deck and probably just drop the Dream Eagle - since I can't actually use it anymore.
It also sounds like the way copies work is changing. If I'm reading correctly, any temporary bonuses that were copied will wear off at the same time. Additionally, cards with an inherent +X/+X (e.g. Heart of the Wrathwood) won't have that bonus copied.
Interesting. Though on the next page its clarified that Gameforge gets their cut anyway.
I'm willing to stick with the existing UI to not give Valve money for - from my perspective - doing absolutely nothing.
What if there are achievements and trading cards? I'm not made of stone.

Yeah, just a heads up to all, but this seems like a ginormous patch (probably having to do with compatibility with steam, I'd imagine), so start patching and plan on doing something else for awhile.

They made a few UI improvements. Less chat buttons down in the bottom, the store looks different, cool stuff. The improvements over time have been pretty great for this game.
Check that you aren't in an infinite patcher loop. If you are then exit and it should fix things. Although I do have a machine where it was broken and I had to do more drastic measures (deleted some things and am now redownloading everything as we speak)

I actually have a (rather long) active ticket about Hex frequently (though randomly) crashing, particularly in the card manager. They responded last week saying that a possible fix for my crashes is in this patch, so I have high hopes.
Also, gjaustin, you take too long, so I ended up buying 3 crypt dust from the AH. Though I still need 1 more crypt dust/bluegrass. =P

None of them work exactly like the previewed versions, but they're all pretty cool. Moment of Glory could be fun in my Ethereal Healer deck.
