I was hoping that would work, such a cool play hopping across the gap with his warp prism, keeping it secret. I think he needed more forces before he launched his attack.

I went to go to a barcraft for IEM today with @lorahalo only to find out IEM started 2 hours early and it was a floor sweep final. I got to the place right as the last match finished. Sigh.
I'm getting placed against platinums. Losing still because I'm playing sloppy, but relatively calm. I watched apollo's bronze to masters for Protoss and it helped mot with macro, but staying calm and not panicking. Sort of if Mr. Rogers was guiding me through a game

all these speedruns have been sick, mad I missed a bunch but what can you do. gonna try and be awake for Dark Souls, I've at least seen mario 64 a lot.
on starcraft: it is insane how wcs has divided the talent. it has generated rivalries in a way I didn't expect which is pretty sweet.

Darksouls can be done in, like, 45 minutes with pyromancy and a few shortcuts, IIRC.
I made a game! Hotline Maui. Requires mouse and keyboard.

There's also an abusable glitch that let's you skip the second half of the game and finish in like 30min.
I went on a trip to two places. First, to Yongmun Mountain, to see the Yongmunsa temple.
The heavy rain only made the pictures of the rivers better.

This Ginko tree is over 1000 years old and has survived multiple wars. It is the largest fruit bearing tree in Asia.
There was other stuff there, such as a sustainable agriculture museum. It had the history of agriculture in Korea, and modern demonstrations of their commitment to sustainability, which surpases China, North Korea, and the United States. These people are green as shit.
Then the bus took us to meet one of my favorite characters from Civilization V.
It turns out he didn't just invent a language. He's also a fan of astronomy. If you wondered why the Koreans are so science focused, this is why. Their commitment to science and education has been just as intense ever since.
I almost forgot to take a picture of this crazy looking thing. Its one of several astronomical clocks.
Here's an astronomical clock. Its a national treasure that is also on the 10000 Won bill. I showed a Korean lady this picture and she said I knew more about Sejong than she did. I think I'll keep the pictures in the memory card. They're great for conversation :winky:
A sundial.
And a globe of the stars.
I've gotta get a print one of these stellar maps for my apartment.

I ended up missing it completely, except about 2 minutes when I woke up and saw a naked character running around undead
I wouldn't care if it was a 5 minute run or a 5 hour run, though, I just seriously love that game. even if I didn't love the mechanics and spirit of the whole thing, the atmosphere alone makes me want to watch runs of it.
See after playing a few games at the silver level zerg and playing against these protosses that are at "my level" ..
I wonder how the hell the ranking system works. I keep playing dudes that expand at 10 minutes and i just overrun them with semi decent economy
Makes me wonder about myself, who attempts to play standard and intelligent and to the meta and streamlined how i'm ranked with these guys that have literally no idea what the hell theyre doing. Yeah I make a lot of mistakes, but i know what to do and what to do isnt open 3 gate robo forge cannon the shit out of your ramp then take your natural in PvZ. Talking about rank 1 silver here.
I know they can just win the game by doing something weird, like earlier I lost a 40 minute game to a guy who had 3 bases total and went full carrier mothership. I remaxed hydras probably 7 times off my 6 bases. And yeah I'm not complaining about losing per say, it was like my 8th game as Z ever and I just didn't know how to respond. I had him at one point where i think i couldve straight up won, i had 14 swarm hosts outside his natural and my hydras were on the other side of the map
But still this worked. He made 42 probes in 40 minutes, about 450 cannons and played absolutely silly. I think of the games i've lost, one person played standard and that was a ZvT which I'm not familiar with in the least.

One of the things that people suffer from at every level is thinking they can read opponents. For example in your 3 gate robo forge game, you might have done a build the looked aggressive to the protoss (gas pool hatch or hatch gas pool etc) so they immediately thought oh shit, time to hold an all in. But really you didn't know what the zerg meta is now so you just did a build you thought might be good. So now you're both looking at each others builds like wtf?
Another thing that happens at lower levels is people get tired of losing to cheese, so they play overly safe, rather than making their bo crisp. This compounds with poor macro, making to look like the have so much extra money, leading to 3 gate robo forge cannon.

ed: It's obvious TLO hasn't practiced too much with swarm hosts.
Multiple basic rally point mistakes.
One where didn't rally the hosts so the locusts just stood there while queens where getting pwned.
Another where 5 hosts literally walked all the way across the map, way off creep to faceplant some lazers.
