I was gifted The First Templar. And it was worth every penny that @Icemopper spent on it!
Quit wembling over $5, for crying out loud. :P
Also and on that note... Primal Carnage needs to stop being on sale (for $5) because I don't need the freaking temptation. I've been resisting all week but the sale just keeps going!
Just 2 more days until the game comes out on Steam for the low-low price of $5! I think it's a HUGE improvement over all of our previous games so I hope you all like it.

Fucking awesome. I kept $7 in my steam wallet and was hoping it would be $5 and not $10. I cannot goddamn wait for it. You guys are awesome.
CorriganX on Steam and just about everywhere else.
Well, in the meantime here's a few things I already had from the bundle thingamybob.
Standard thing about saying what you took so as not to confuse others
SpaceChem | Steam Key: CCX5Y-PKZLZ-PH266
Tropico Trilogy (3 games in 1) | Steam Key: FFNGQ-54JWI-ZACTX
Legendary | Steam Key: ZL0ZQ-8WJL6-HFFDH

I got Legendary, but only because I'm watching the trailer and I NEED to know why this game sucks.

I nabbed Tropico. I have been wanting a copy of these games forever. Thanks!
To kind of return the favor, I have a gift copy of Primal Carnage hanging around for whoever wants it (PM me). I've been having a huge amount of fun with the game and I need to spread that love.

I am very Happy that I bought a Guitar and got Rocksmith. I'm already light years ahead, or I feel so, than I was last time I tried to learn how to play!

Mind giving some of us sitting on the fence about it your impressions, both as a game, and a learning device?
I've been pondering getting it for a year or so now, would like to hear what you think about it.
Looks like it's back to business as usual with the PA forums, the stability was nice while it lasted.
And those of you who are not digging Alan Wake due to the annoying flashlight mechanic/bewilderingly pointless poltergiests enemies, I still recommend American Nightmare. I dug the base game's story and atmosphere enough to see it through, but in AN they actually made the game fun to play too, with waaay shorter flashlight times and actual item progression and stuff.
The card game on Steam still confuses me. I have cards, but I don't know what to do with them or what the point is.
There is a mechanic where if you buy/trade another game's cards to get the full set of 8 for a game, you can "forge" them into a badge, which apparently gives you profile backgrounds for that game, and steam chat emoticons for that game.
There is also a far better mechanic were you can sell the cards you get as drops to people looking to make badges for Steam bucks, which strikes me as a far better use of the cards. Profile backgrounds sound cool, but not if they directly or indirectly cost money. They're not worth much, but then again you get them in return for playing games. Between selling off a few TF2 items and the cards, I'm only a buck away from picking up Dust: An Elysian Tale or Blood Dragon for free! (Still can't decide which.)

Edit: Crappy Triple Post. Been some crazy stuff going on lately!
Just to be safe, I'm quoting all of your posts!
Ok here we go, from someone that's had 3? Guitars over the past 25 years or so. I learned Chords, Scales, etc but never really could put it all together and "Feel" like I was accomplishing anything.
A) - Stupid fucking Proprietary Cable is a must. On the other hand, it's $30 which is about the same price for a regular 1/4" to USB cable so it's a wash. - Ubisoft programming is at it again! The game has issues with USB headsets, but so far I can get it to work if I change some Sound options prior to launching the game.
Ok then, as a Game I find it to be pretty fun so far. I only have a few hours in, and only have gotten through 6? songs or so with two Performances and a handful of "Learning Techniques" and two Technique Games. I'd say it's as fun of a game as playing Rockband/Guitar Hero, but you're actually playing a real guitar! But it has that feel of "Hey I'm a Rock Star!!!" and unlike the other games, this one gets more difficult teaching you more techniques and actually learn to play the song for real.
Now as a learning device, I find it pretty good so far, but then again as I said I'm pretty early into the game. It's got my hands moving up and down the neck better than I had been previously and it also has me being able to do things without looking at the frets. There are a few Games to improve on different techniques that you can play. The only real negative I'm hearing about is there is sometimes a gap in learning difficulty. You will be able to play through at one level, but when the game determines you're good enough and throws more at you it becomes impossible. Also, the songs in the base game aren't always to my liking, but hey, neither were all the songs in the other games. But each song teaches you a few techniques so I don't mind.
So all in all, I'm enjoying it, learning things, feeling better about my playing and Looking sexy while doing it!
Rocksmith is not a "teaching" tool. It's a practice tool. You'll need to play the parts of it that reinforce things you're already learning to do. If you're completely new like me, I'd bet you'll hit walls of impossibility like me.
You also need to be super careful, because you can train yourself into some really bad habits via the game. It doesn't carefully analyze the sounds you're producing, so you can be really shittily flubbing up strumming, but the game will make it sound like you're the best guitarist ever.
What is this I don't even.

Did Humble Bundle change their policy on giftable Steam copies or something? Because the Telltale bundle just dropped an extra copy of Poker Night at the Inventory into my... er, inventory.

I think that's every form of guitar "learning" that doesn't involve another human being teaching you. You can learn bad habits that are super hard to break.

If you don't get hooked up here, they are dirt cheap on the Marketplace.

Are you working on badges or are you just selling all your cards? At ~50 cents a pop, I can probably make a few bucks selling them all.
But I might need them later!

But yes - I may now have a weekend activity planned...

At the very least it's free Steam money.
