In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the police who investigate crime and the district attorneys who prosecute the offenders. These are their stories.

Jack McCoy, the batman of lawyers. Lennie Briscoe, the rough and tough cop. A show in two acts: cop and court. This is probably my favorite show on TV, and that's because it kicks ass.

Hell, the show has been around longer than some of the forumers (17 years) have lived.

Lennie Briscoe was and forever will be the greatest character on that show.

Hottest, of course, is just arguing about which of the female lawyers you liked. Personally, I liked the bitchy brunette.

The chick from Crossing Jordan was my favorite ADA. McCoy would agree with me.

t Hunter: Logan was an awesome detective and agree that he and Brisco were the best team.

Some of best L&Os are the ones where you get to see old characters return.

whip could be traced to the power changing hands via a brother getting ahold of a "whip", but Aneurhythmia and Butters are probably right

A friend of mine recently acquired a season of "Law and order ; Special Victims Unit." Anyway, he had me watch maybe 4 episodes of it. Stupidest show I have ever seen. Every one ends the exact same formulaic way. Find (man.woman.child) which has been brutally (murdered.disfigured.sexually-abused). Drive around and interview random bad actors. Locate 3 suspects but have no conclusive evidence on any. Angrily interrogate suspects anyway. Find new evidence which suggests The attacker may strike again! (suspense ensues). Young alcoholic guy begins to take case personally, usually he has a hunch of some sort. Find conclusive evidence, bring in guilty party and interrogate them again (but with an attitude) they cry some and then confess to the whole thing revealing their master plan to (murder.disfigure.sexually-abuse) countless numbers of (men.women.children) The day has been saved.

Throw in a sprinkling of random court scenes with a hot red headed lawyer vs a short fat blonde one and wallah

Law and order special fucked up and demented situations.

    Retardo.

I think I have a pretty legitimate case. One episode, this guy was paying men to have sex with his wife while he watched. His daughter had been bound blindfolded and raped to the point where she had cervical dysplasia and if that wasn't enough, somehow the semen of the men which her father was paying to have sex with her mom was winding up in her (the daughter's) uterus.

This kind of demented shit is good television?

Edit : The daughter was like 12
