Would there be a point in waiting for the next iPad before buying one?
Not sure what the next one will have but the current was a very minor upgrade over the 3rd gen. Slightly better processor and lightning connector instead of old dock connector. Maybe slightly better wifi antenna or something like that?
Little known fact: There is already a full-sized iPad with a slightly better processor and lightning connector. Apple wants to keep it a secret though. I mean, I assume, based on all the fanfare it got at launch and its massive ad campaign.
Guess I was ambiguous, I was giving the features that differentiated the 3rd and 4th gen ipads to demonstrate what a minor incremental update it was.
I am oddly pleased that, in Fringe's parallel universe, The West Wing lasted for at least 11 seasons.
Also, had a question.
Spoilers for Farscape and Fringe:
These are the only two shows I can think of where the double has a (fairly) strong presence. Not sure how long Olivia (Red) is going to last, nor how much the show is going to focus on Olivia (Blue) over in Redworld, but so far the story seems to care about both.
Are there any other good examples of this? I'm discounting stuff like Thomas Riker, because (afaik) he's only appeared in two episodes.

It's a pain in the ass to get your system back on daytime again after being used to night time for such a long time. #firstworldproblem
"You won't destroy us, You won't destroy our democracy. We are a small but proud nation. No one can bomb us to silence. No one can scare us from being Norway. This evening and tonight, we'll take care of each other. That's what we do best when attacked'' - Jens Stoltenberg
I've begun to watch Game of Thrones and saw the first 3 episodes of season 1. Is it bad that I don't like any of the female characters nor most of the male characters except for the guy who played Boromir and the second daughter. Otherwise most of the characters are horrible people.
Except of course the pesudo-Mongol type people. That was an interesting concept.
I think that's an understandable reaction to where you are in the story thus far.
every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.

Full sized or mini?
Full sized? Probably not. The current iPad with Retina is pretty awesome. The major improvement in the next revision is going to be physical - it'll be thinner and lighter. But it probably won't be much (if any) faster.
Mini? Yes. The current Mini is iPad2 guts with a 1024x768 screen. A second-generation Mini with a higher-resolution screen is in the works for later this year (Christmas, probably), if you can wait.
I like the mini, but I also want to read comics on it, so I guess the full sized one. I think I'll go into the refurbished section on Apple's site and check some prices.
So a 12-year-old girl was abducted by seven men who wanted to force her into marriage and were beating her. A pride of lions comes in and chases off the dudes and stands guard over the girl until help comes.
Kidnapping young girls has long been part of the marriage custom in Ethiopia. The United Nations estimates that more than 70 percent of marriages in Ethiopia are by abduction, practiced in rural areas where most of the country's 71 million people live.

It's glorious as a comic reader, I got a refurb myself and that's probably 3/4ths of what I spend my time with it doing.
My only grumble is it's weirdness in overheating in direct sunlight.

I hope there are some stand out characters in other episodes because this makes me want to remove them all from positions of power. They are hopeless.
It also makes me feel that this could be the same story supplanted in Lord of the Rings before the rise of Sauron. It has allusions to Tolkien which I've never seen before at least this prominently.
I hope the books are somewhat better since I've never read them.
I would think there was something wrong with you if you wanted to see pretty much any of the characters other than Ned in charge by episode 3
Basically the show is still setting up exactly how fucked up the current situation is

care to expand on said allusions? The world, beyond being medieval, bears almost no similarities.

Man, that's such a better idea than NIA and probably similarly complex to implement.
