Canadian mailing a manuscript to and from the U.S., having postage problems.
Hi, we're based in Canada, and a friend of mine is trying to send her manuscript to an American publisher. She's having issues, though. These are her exact words:
"I'm sending out a submission package to a publisher in the United States and they require a SASE (self addressed, stamped envelope) as part of the package in order to write a response back. But when I went to the post office today to get the postage that they would need to send the SASE back to me the lady said that all she can give me is some kind of international postage coupon that they could redeem over there for the stamps needed.
From what I understood in the submission outline, the publisher's posting is done internally and everything must simply be ready to go without any running to post offices."
So, any idea how we can make this work? Apparently there's no further place to go on their website for information.
