Let's Play! Riddick: Dark Athena. In space, no one can write tasteful antagonists.
The Long Awaited (Long Forgotten) Sequel Lets Play!
About 4 years ago I started a Let's Play of The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay. It was full of my dumb voice quipping how handsome Vin Diesel was, and also stabbing dudes in the most unsanitary prison ever.
Well, after 4 years of mental training, grueling workouts, and practiced shank stabs; I return to once again don the shoes of the galaxy's baldest badass.
Who the heck are you?
Oh yeah, I hope some of the people that watched the old one are still around. If youre new, welcome! Please ignore my awfulness, playing and talking at the same time is hard!
Technical Stuff thats kind of neat to me.
Played on PC, 1080p.
Recorded via Elgato Gamecapture HD.
Microphone: Shure SM-57
Edited with: Adobe Premiere
THE VIDEOS THUS FAR

Here are some wallpapers of the media Ive made so far for my Youtube. Yesterday I spent all day in After Effects and Photoshop making this tight 80's style banner.

I'll never forget the slightly dazed feeling of walking up to the register at Funcoland with a copy of Butcher Bay. I couldn't stop thinking, I'm actually buying a video game that is based on a film license.
Also super enjoying the LP Don. Looking forward to more.

Haven't watched an LP in ages, but dammit, I might have to watch this one. The quality of the Riddick games is massively disproportionate to how good they really should have been.
EDIT: Shit. I went to check if I had this in my Steam library. When I searched for the game, I'd forgotten this was owned by Atari and is thus no longer on Steam. SAD FACE.
Thanks Drake! And oh man, Funcoland. That brings me back to Kirby's Dreamland on the Gameboy. Man if only my stupid kid self didnt trade carts and throw away boxes.

Don't fret! It's on gog.com without DRM. Unlike the retail version which has a 5 (3?) activation limit with TAGES copy protection. I actually was trying to install using the retail version initially until I remembered and freaked out and ripped it out of the tray.
Don't need that crap on my computer.

Heeeellll yeah. Getting that right now, because I have ever-so-fond memories of this incredibly-brutal and remarkably-good game.
A few LPers left because of that period where the forums were really, REALLY unstable. At least I think that's why people like Helloween or Klyka left.
Tell me more about that cool video graphic at the intro. Also, why do you need an El Gato if you're playing a PC game?
I had gotten an obsession with laserdisc a few years ago so I have a bunch of educational laserdiscs that have these wonderful 80s motion graphics. And I knew I wanted a cool intro, and I knew I wanted to learn how to use Adobe After Effects better. Thus the intro was born!
PS I have a new outro on part 3 that was also made with a love for old analog tech.
And the Elgato HD game capture is awesome because you can play the game in full 60 fps and record because all the encoding is being handled by the Elgato's hardware h264 encoder instead of your CPU. It also produces a very very small file in comparison to what fraps spits out. (Close to 1 gig per minute. Seriously!)
So um, I take it you're a master of the multimedia and visual arts as part of your lifestyle and/or career?
Haha, not exactly a master nor profiting from it. (yet!) It's just something I love to do.
ALSO, apologies for the wait. Hopefully you guys saw the video that said Id be gone for a week, now I just need to not be lazy and record a new episode!

Still amazed it was good.
It is in fact, a paradox. Who knew?

Sorry for the delays guys! Heres part 3, in which I almost die many times.
Now for @Ginger Mijango's long awaited return to LPing.
edit: What an intro graphic! A DonHonk production.
Also, I wish LPs were still as big of a deal on these forums as they used to be. I miss the good old days.
