    dammit whippy if i do i will lose all my pokemon from my LG file since i can't trade them to ruby yet and i can't start working on it until tomorrow at the earliest and it could take weeks to finally get a shiny one if my adventures with shiny legendaries is any measure of time

    is the pokemon's stats and such and such decided upon hatch or conception?

    this is a vital question for how long this will take you (i think it might be conception)
