EA's only ditching the online pass because they see the XBOne and the PS4's inclusion of (optional on the PS4, for now at least) system-level DRM as a way to make up for it.

Besides - XBOne HAS THE ONLINE PASS BUILT-IN.

Ok, for the record, they buffed the weapons so that they could compete with the DMR. It had the fastest kills times out of all the precision weapons save for a scoped-in light rifle, and was dead accurate. They brought the rest of the game up to the DMRs level. The hardcore players actually like the faster kill times as it punishes people for making stupid moves. As for the chaingun buffs, that's because people can spawn with plasma pistols and plasma grenades. For those of you who don't know, that basically means death to vehicles.
I think I'm forgetting something, but fuck it you get the point.

Edit: Ok, just unpaused the video and heard the ending comment for the Halo 4 thing.

Re: OMGPop, I imagine the people were contractually required to stay on to get the bigger payday, shutting down the company probably shortened that time, so getting fired probably came with a huge bonus.

Plus, it's Zynga, a place where blatant copying and working with psychologists to find ways to bilk your customers out of money is something you do on a daily basis. I imagine it's not the most fun place to work.

@Siddown: There was also the more likely contract clause where they couldn't work for one of their competitors for X years if they quit.

Overreacted in that previous post; I think I was tired and didn't feel like being reasonable. I was just frustrated that they were spinning an improvement to the game as stupidity.
