Also, if you buy through steam you still have to play it through uplay right? Or would you have two different sets of friends lists, steam/uplay?
Most Ubi games that I've bought through Steam sales have required Uplay to be running in order to play. These days, I ignore the Steam part and just launch via Uplay.

Still, 9/10 just announcing your forum name and saying '... from the PA forums' is enough to job people's memory.
I have my name here purely because I had been listing to The Gaslight Anthem quite a bit the week I signed up for the forum... then I ended up using variations of it for a bunch of other games/sites out of laziness and convenience.
I still like the band but in retrospect I wish I had put a little more thought into myhandle.
Alright, preordered and updated my uplay info. Haven't used that handle in years, and I can't change it. Sheesh.

I think you have to wait until the 26th.
EDIT: Yes, from what I've found, the preload for the beta will be available 48 hours before the actual beta begins. It's something like 26GB on the PC so I'd expect something similar for consoles.

More excited now to get this on PC. Guess all those people saying it was PC footage not X1 footage on all those youtube channels can shut up now. Guess we will all get to see the difference for ourselves next weekend.

I saw a kid get handed a JB poster by who I presume was his parents outside my store today....he tore it in half infront of his horrified parents.....There's hope for our youth yet!
I would love to get it on PS4 as I have a steadier group of people to play with, but as soon as my 3 year old see's me take the controller off the entertainment center all he wants to do is play Disney Infinity.
Playing on the PC is the only way I can get away with playing any games now a days.

You can preload the beta starting on the 26th but it doesn't start (on the Xbox) until the 28th. I was only farting around with it for a couple of hours but I liked it.
My biggest takeaway from watching it are that both enemy scaling based on squad count and your ability to aim/handle the recoil of a gun, play a huge part in the bullet sponginess of the enemies. So far, almost everything we've seen has been console footage of 3-4 person squads flailing horribly aimed bullets at scaled enemies. It's nice to confirm how effective being able to aim accurately is. Hah

Yeah that was my experience. @Nosf shot well and dropped dudes quickly while I ended up shooting the shit out of their legs at it took forever.
EDIT: Also, at one point I had a M249 and was firing into a couple of guys and over their heads it said 'suppressed' . They didn't move from cover and could only blind fire at me. I could see that being a useful tactic to pin guys down for your team to maneuver against.

Focus fire on basic (red health) same level guys dropped them QUICKLY. Also, once the armor (those grey bars) were removed, even harder (purple) guys fell pretty quickly.
This game looks like mass effect plus destiny in modern times. I need something to fill my destiny void since that game (even though it's the best game of all time) is in a content lul/bad spot.
I hope some of the Penny Arcadiabs from the destiny thread are picking this up as it seeks to scratch some of the same itches

Yeah, that TTK is vanishingly short. Even if it were a couple times longer in PVP, it would still be appropriately short and effective ambushes would succeed before the target could react.
Sorry for the triple post, but has anyone seen a gold edition digital version, or a digital season pass?
Normally buy everything digital on xbox due to console sharing, and I'm trying to see if there's a way to get the season pass and national guard set while keeping with that.
They're giving away beta codes on the games Instagram account each day, but only like 5 at a time. On unless your luck and timing are impeccable you're not going to get one.
