Its not a race. And I guarantee people will make alts and start over to play with people who are low level. I know I am because my brother isn't starting to play until Wednesday.
Plus there will be plenty of people who start this game weeks and months into the launch. And before you know it everyone will be max level and it won't have mattered when you started.
Downloading right now on ps4. Was standard version the way to go? I always feel like I'm under geared in Ubisoft games when getting the standard editions. It's all cosmetic fluff stuff with the other versions, right?

There is like a sawed off shotgun you get with the gold version. The rest is just cosmetic.
Played till a silly hour. Did the first three missions to get all the wards unlocked.
Game still feels good. Not sure which ward I'll pursue unlocking first. Probably the medical one just because medics are always welcome. Either way going for an skill power focused build. I'll be your support trooper or nuclear bomb as needed.

Played for a few hours, luckily my buddy came online after an hour, did the Medical mission on hard. (I can now keep 4 Medkits on me too)
Its green, but its a fucking M1A! Also the Defiler Shotgun is apparently an Offhand!? I thought it was a secondary, was fun to use with the Tacticool shield ability, loving how my guy looks already too.
I got a shitload of vanity items from the Gold Edition (pick up at rewards vendor in your base), ended up using these for now... Oddly enough I dont have a single weapon skin? I had one in the beta after 20 minutes.
... I dont want to go to bed.

Put in a couple of hours and I'm really pleased with the game. Feels like it has been optimized further since open beta. Hell, I was able to play and matchmake without any hassles. Very smooth release.

Played for a few hours on my PS4. Decided to try the Brooklyn Main mission on Hard, but I was all alone.
Kids, don't do stuff on Hard when you're all alone...
Still no pompom beanie found so I am still rocking the ponytail.
I crafted my own marksman rifle (blue), and yes, you can deconstruct all your stuff in your inventory for materials, and at the crafting station you can morph 5 green materials in one blue material, and 5 blues into a yellow, so I don't see the point of ever selling something or not picking something up.
Gold edition cosmetic stuff is great, though the striped weapon skin from the uPlay store can only be equipped on a single weapon (a skin is considered a mod)
I did all the Camp Hudson side missions first, so after sleeping a bir I can try to venture into the Hospital for my sweet sweet heal skill...
