The 2nd [E3 2013] Thread: Sony Sends Their Regards (Post-E3 Giveaways Underway!)
Previously, Sony shocked the world by turning their 2013 Playstation conference into a snuff film as they proceeded to brutally massacre their longtime rival, Microsoft in a most gruesome manner.
I swear this year's E3 has been invaded by gremlins, because nearly every major company has been plagued by technical issues.
That Battlefield 4 no audio was particularly embarrassing, and you could tell the guy was hugely pissed ("Quiet"). By contrast, I felt bad for the guy whose AC4 playthrough died on him.
Is there a list of just all the announcements of new games somewhere?

So I've been mostly not paying attention to the next gen because I've barely touched the current gen. This is what I seem to be hearing:
1) X-Box One is designed by a person who hates you, your kids, and your kid's kids.
2) Sony seems to have learned from the whole PS3 'thing' and looks to be the crowd favorite.
3) Nintendo is seemingly making the same mistakes they made with the Wii, but will probably be ok, either way. Also Retro isn't making a Metroid game (yet) so.. bleh.
I did not think I'd ever say this, but my next console will probably be a WiiU. I know there won't be many games for it but having never bought a Wii I still have a load of games for that I'd like to play.
So after all the dust has been settled now, how many new IPs did we actually even get? Even looking at the front page of this forum, it's sequel announcement after remake after HD revision after blah. From all the shit we've heard from publishers saying they needed a damn system reboot to further new IP developments, I'm a bit annoyed at the lack of new IPs (from 3rd partys) in comparison.
So like we got Destiny. DestinationDivison. Knack and Spark are first party, no? Wonderful 101? Does Watch Dogs even count since this is their 2nd damn E3? Ryse? Jesus, they neeeded a system reboot for Ryse?

e: Nm, thought you were listing Destiny as first party.

Sorry to talk about what’s been a lowlight for me rather than highlight but I thought the new 3D Mario looked like everything I feared it might be. Now I haven’t played 3D Land on the 3DS so I might be being a little unfair on it but I’m getting a very strong whiff of the New Super Mario Bros series from the new game and personally I always thought those games were possibly the dullest most uninspired Mario games ever made.
I guess I was just kinda hoping for the next evolution from Galaxy and frankly cat Mario isn’t it

You should play 3D Land, it's probably the best 3D Platformer since Galaxy 2
I can't think of another game that would even come close

Okay I got to the invisible murdercloud after the line of invisible boxes that block you in when you fall under them and I gave up.
Really looking forward to the Order personally.

I'm pissed they still haven't given us a name for the next Xeno.
Loved the crap out of everything else, including Iwata pronouncing it as "Zen-O".
(hate when people use "zeeno")
Well, technically, it's not pronounced either way. The Greek root is spelled ξένος, which is properly pronounced ksen-os, where the o is pronounced like 'aw' in 'yawn'. And the k is pronounced.
The Last Guardian is still "in active development".
"That hiatus term—I’m not a native English-speaking person—but that’s misleading," Yoshida told me a few minutes ago during an interview here at E3. He'd watched Tretton's comments on Spike.com while eating lunch. "The game is in active development. [Lead designer Fumito] Ueda-san shared updates a few months ago. Nothing has changed. My answer is, 'Yes, the game is in active development.' It’s not hiatus at all. But we are not ready to reintroduce it. When we are ready, we will do that. Please wait."
In a press release today, Square Enix confirmed that the Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut will no longer be a Wii U exclusive.
The publisher announced the cut earlier this year, promising exclusivity to Nintendo's console and outlining features which played to the strengths of the Wii U GamePad. Today, Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Mac versions were announced for release later this year.
Bad news for Wii U, but good news for PC owners who don't have to buy it again.
that final fantasy xv gameplay trailer has got me puzzled on how combat actually works at first it looks like it a mish mash of dissida's and kingdom hearts combat system but alot of it looked scripted as well

Its based off the Kingdom Hearts engine and really you zip around like that in that game too, but to a lesser extent.

Hopefully. It better be a patch or something.
I love my WiiU for its potential but I'll be getting that game on PC now that I have the option.
I got home from work today, watched the E3 for Nintendo and... I realize it was just a Nintendo Direct but nothing about it say "E3." They could have aired that 2 months ago and I would not have noticed a difference.
I love Nintendo but I feel like aside from some decent releases to the 3DS they are just kind of sitting this year out.

Ok, I'm back from the first day. Didn't see much, entire first day was spent scheduling appointments for the next two days. So going forward I'll have a lot more fun/work. Did bump into a few big names though, met up with some industry friends, and got my first painfully heavy load of swag. Oh bumped into a certain PA forumer as well. That saucy tart offered me a chicken nugget, but I could tell what he was after... 8->
BTW Killzone on the Vita is shamefully beautiful. It's pretty unreal.
Mainly a leaked beta build that looked atrocious, confirmation that it's coming to consoles, and that the Elder Scrolls themselves are now basically flags for each faction to fight for in CTF that give a trivial buff to your alliance. Edit: Oh yeah, it's class-based too.
To give them some credit, they have backtracked on their silly forced third person and now have a first person view.

I'm pretty much sold on the game though. I love how smug the alien leader is.

I fully expect a very pretty Dirge of Cerberus.

No Fallout 4 shown. Sadface.
TES: Online shown. Sadface.

What's new regarding this by the way? I know they already cocked it up with the three-factions thing but I'm still curious.
