Though, the first game does have the Duel Colosseum. The Labryrinth in 012 looks similar, but really just isn't the same.

That is the one drawback. I don't like the Labyrinth nearly as much as the Duel Colosseum.

The real kick to the nuts is that they're both listed as $19.99... The real version of the game costs the same as the not so good one. Bah! That'll teach me not to research even a little. Well, I'll put this one in the "loss" column, delete it from my Vita and download 012.

Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.

So, Giga Flare for 3k damage is a bit rough.

    Oh you lucky bugger.

I'm probably gonna have to go out and level some more, as well as restock... Oh well, that was an effective raid

    Setup for last battle.

First try did not weaken the last part before killing the other three. Magic shell Faris was never in any real danger of dying but ran out of elixirs and junk to keep reviving everyone else.

Second try killed things with break blade and Odin lamp immediately then flare bladed the other things while using like, an elixir.

I wonder how I'm going to get Odin without it. I suppose I could summon Syldra at him a bunch, and crack Thunder Rods in his face...

That happened to a comic shop I used to order from years back.

Hahaha this is so fun. My go-to strategy has never been so consistently "look, I'm going to die, so lets focus on as much burst damage as possible in the shortest time, and screw any semblance of healing." But it is now!

In possibly related news, I beat Twintania :P

The Fireship Boss was the first easy boss for me. Two white mages casting Cure 2 and two Summoners calling on Shiva made quick work. Getting Shiva was my hardest fight simply because I had no AOE at the time to deal with the three minions in that battle. Of course, I've also done A LOT of grinding to make up for my lack of offense.

Einzel, in the Job Fiesta, you are randomly assigned one class from each crystal, and those are the only classes you are allowed to use, with a minimum of always having at least 1 of those classes on your team. So, when I got White Mage as my Wind Crystal class, I could only use White Mages. Once I got Summoner from the Water Crystal, I was able to use both White Mages and Summoners. And now that I have Beastmaster, I need to have at least 1 White Mage, Summoner, and Beastmaster in my party with the fourth slot also being one of those three.

Ok, that sounds phenomenal. How do I get the random choice dealy sorted out? I assume it's not something built into the core game.

Then, it was Toriyama’s turn to talk about any notable struggles he may have faced during the latest developments of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII.

“The Crystal Tools which we’ve been using as the base engine, honestly, it wasn’t made for an open-world game,” Toriyama admitted. “Hence, we used this occasion for a version update and have been able to improve it to make something in a currently trending open-world style.

So, question more about game mechanics. In a fiesta game, is it worthwhile to switch classes around once you have some mastered? Like, I've got two people who have mastered their current class, should I switch them to another? I've got blue, time, and ninja classes currently.

It can't hurt. For example. A Blue Mage can benefit greatly from also having access to Time spells, and vice-versa. Not switching around when you have a class mastered is putting that delicious ABP to waste, really.

Well yeah. There is no restriction about cross-job abilities. Since you have Blue Mage, everyone should know the Learn ability.

The only time it doesn't really make sense is with BERSERKER. From an ABP management standpoint, it's best to get your zerker to learn whatever passive ability they'll be using (assuming you have any jobs that give you a passive that berserker can use) then just leave that character as berserker forever.

  • Xenogears of BoreXenogears of Bore Registered User regular
In regular fiesta runs I usually end up mastering just about everything by only running when I don't have a Knight and even then only when I'm going to die.

The ABP ramps up significantly in the last hours of the game if you actually do those encounters and the more utility you have the better.

    Bahaha!

I just rescued Golem through the power of breaking rods.

Dragon zombies are weak to Fire. Golem isn't. I have a few Fire Rods left in my inventory. One Fire Rod and a half-dozen Hi-Potions later, I have two dead zombies and lightly-toasted Golem.

Ingus Fatuus can't confuse the enemies I want to confuse, and the Dancing Dagger is ages away. :(

Thanks for telling me about them though. The Final Fantasy Wiki is very poor at telling me all the different ways to cause certain status effects in a game. Same for researching methods of Reflect.
