Beat All the Bravest. Made a spam Twitter account to max out party size and I'm also grinding out the equipment drops. With the microtransactions, forced "social integration", slot machine DLC, and so on, it's like they were doing a BINGO card of most hated gaming tropes. Too bad too, the writing is affectionate and clever and the game is fun as a distraction.

Yup, Rydia's clothing was the least of The After Years problems.
Yuna's a really well written character with a shitty voice actor.
I actually think Tidus is also an interesting character and he has a great arc where he realizes what a little shit he is and slowly goes "Wow I am a little shit." I hated him at first but slowly grew to like him. He also suffered from bad VA issues, but not as bad as Yuna...

I refuse to say any character that has a scene involving them "practicing how to laugh" is well written :P (edit: haha, I didn't even see all the replies above me)
In general though, I have a hard time saying pretty much any Final Fantasy after 6 (or maybe 7) is well written (possible exception for 9, but it does have some moments). Most are still fun, but the stories are crazysauce and largely nonsensical.
Correct me if I'm wrong about FF XIII-2's story as I never came remotely close to finishing it but I was under the impression that Caius got what he wanted so he should be a lot less emo this time around.

My guess is that it will be similar to the FFXIII-2 dlc where you only played as lightning, who had a specialized version of each class that she could jump to really quickly.
Also, I'm at least partially interested in Caius being back, is he is probably one of the most well-done villians for a FF game in quite awhile, and is well executed.
This is all leading up to a DLC adventure where Lightning dresses up as your favorite FFVII character and then visits a cosplay convention where her mission is to beat up all the bad Lightning cosplayers, right?
And there's, like, a Pokemon Snap element, so you try to get the best action shots of Lightning slicing some dude in a pink wig?
