They do all the time on Star Trek.
It was that somehow, from within the derelict-horror, they had learned a way to see inside an ugly, broken thing... And take away its pain.

Dragonform could do this in DS. Hit with both fists.

People don't get it. Two handing your fist, means you clasp your fist with your other hand. So your fist is in... one... hand.

"Two handing" in Dark Souls = + to strength and a different moveset due to using both hands on the weapon, right?
"Two handing" fists means + to strength and a different moveset by using both hands to deliver a strike at the same time.
That's what PLA meant. He just didn't know (and neither did I) that the strength bonus is removed. He was talking about the term used for the game mechanic and referring to the idea of applying that mechanic to unarmed blows. He wasn't being literal.
I would love to be able to deliver more double handed blows.
More than that though, I would like to be able to go full monk and kick properly. Roundhouse and side kicks. Or a drop kick. Let me drop kick zombies.

A guy who was working on the official guide came on twitch and stated that pure unarmed isn't going to be viable as no stat is going to scale with it. No kicks either from the sounds of it. He did mention that there will be stats that directly affect poise though, among other interesting things.

As you die again and again, becoming more and more hollow, your lifebar slims piece by piece, a process mirrored in the appearance of the player, their hair thinning further and their skin rotting more upon each new death.
The second half of that sentence thoroughly absolves any perceived sin for the first half.
I'll take that yes please thank you very much.

I'm playing some Dark Souls 1 and I got super close to beating the Iron Golem on my first try on this character. If only it hadn't knocked me off the edge when it was close to death.
Looks like the Namco Bandai games site changed its PC release from "March 2014" to just "2014." Not a great sign.
Well it might just be reflecting the fact that there's no solid release date for PC yet. I checked both their twitter and face book and there's nothing regarding that.

The Iron Golem is one of the easier bosses in the game. The summonable dude(Tarkus ftw!) can kill it by himself.
The worst part really is getting knocked off the platform, if anything is going to kill you.
I figured it out: it says just "2014" for PC... on 360 and PS3 though, it says "March 14 2014" as it should. No big deal for console owners then.
EDIT: which also sounds sketchy because multiple sources say the game is coming out on March 11th, not March 14th. Would also make more sense for a game to release on a Tuesday (March 11th) than a Friday (March 14th). So I'm curious what it really is.

It's the UK site. The release date was always the 11th for North America and the 14th for Europe.

Take your time and backstab. Keep your shield up or learn to roll out from his attack, because he telegraphs it like nothing else.

Dodge his attacks by running/rolling directly at him, then stab him in the back.
Like, get close to him, go in circles around him until he starts to swing, then just walk into him. His swing will land behind you and you can backstab him all you want.
Holy shit the only thing that makes Capra harder is his speed.
Any tips besides taking my time and trying to set up a backstab? I can't hardly do damage to him at this point, so I'm kind of at a disadvantage.
The thing to know about Havel is that he can adjust his swing during the animation, so the key to it is to dodge as the mace is coming down. I'd recommend fast roll for him, and once you get his attacks down you will most likely be able to do him naked.
If you want to kill Havel, rather than parrying or backstabbing, it's faster to just cheese him early on by getting him to run after you up the stairs, then jumping off. He'll jump after you, and 10 or so jumps kills him from accumulated fall damage.
If you've got a weapon that does more then 10 points of backstab damage, use it. Otherwise it's faster to cheese him. This is of course only valid if you want to rush to get the ring from him early on. Depends on how fairly you want to fight him. I don't usually bother.

Fun ways to kill Havel:
1) Lead him up the stairs and drop down. The fall damage takes a lot from him. Just make sure you are not under him.
2) Wrath of God through the bottom door.

I've got a Drake Sword, and it does like 22 damage a swing. I'll totally try cheesing him with fall damage, I really don't feel bad about using the game against itself.
The main reason he got me was I didn't fully heal after he hit me once, so the second time I messed up the dodge he fucked me something fierce. I had managed to take a third off his health without backstabs so I guess I was doing alright. I did try parrying him once, much to my dismay.

That makes more sense then. Sucks for PC players, but hey, maybe they'll get to pay 20 dollars less and get bonus content along with it like last time.

I think you might wanna do it naked, since you move faster, and I think there may be an effect on your encumbrance to the fall damage you take. Don't quote me on that though.
I think it takes about 10 runs up the stairs and drops to kill him, give or take a couple drops. I can't remember, it's been a while. It was much faster than fighting him to death at 5 hp hit at a time.
Basically just run up the stairs to the highest point you can get, wait for him to get close, and roll off the edge. He'll try to attack you, but falls instead, and takes damage. Rinse and repeat until he's dead.
You can also cheese him with bombs/spells/knives at the very top of the stairs. Drag him all the way up to the top where you enter. Exit the stairs where the barrel is rolled by the hollow, he will path backward to return to his spawn. Entering the room will make him engage you. Just toss whatever you have at him when he's moving away, enter, run back down, rinse repeat.
When his shield is up you do bugger all damage to him so it's better not to use anything on him when he's in that pose.
So I got a new PS3, which means all my old saves were gone, so what the hell, let's start a new run. Think I'm going to try a Faith-based Cleric this time. Wish me luck-

Nakedness makes it easy to backstab him just via circle strafing and dodging to the side when he attacks. The speed advantage lets you get into position much easier. If you are low enough armor is nothing but a hindrance against him.
You just have to learn his timing and learn not to do anything to him unless he takes a swing. Never attack him recklessly. He's waiting for that.

Thankfully he only throws bombs in the middle and my general strategy has been lightning bolt lightning bolt lightning bolt.
It hasn't worked on Four Kings, but I'm betting the +10 divine claymore I grinded for will give me a better option.
Edit: Also finding a Skull Lantern off a necromancer before hitting the Tomb of the Giants saved me so much grief.
