Echidna is the one indispensable Byakko sub, according to popular opinion. I would never not use her on a team that she can be used on. Who do you think is more important than delay + RCV on a team lacking it that requires stalling?

So, why are some monsters marked as "in use" when they're not actually in my party? I want to use this little wood jerk to upgrade my rare, only he's marked as "in use" for no damn good reason.
you have several teams. might have it in another group... other thing is if you put it as a favorite ( will have star on picture) than it counts as in use. the favorites option is more to just protect monsters from being sold.
in a descend dungeon I could see using a stall. biweekly dungeons I would rather boost health with Siegfried than a stall... for rcv dark monsters are not terrible for it. and if refreshing board to keep up the leader skills you can get x12.25 to hearts plus 4+ combos you won't need high rcv to heal.
edit: 2 for 10 on naga runs today... all the junk mobs I feed to those two and both sitting at level 22.

Naga drop was a nice little present today. Then I mess up lining up some hearts and eat a stone, argh! Oh well, also got some king ruby dragons to help lvl her up. I really need to focus on just ranking up though, it's gonna be ages before I can make a team with all my good stuff. I've got SoD Lucifer, max lvl hera waiting to be evolved, a second hera, and rainbow keeper x2 and all of 60 stamina to form a team.
Holy shit, i just now realized that you can drag a gem from anywhere on the screen to anywhere else. The tutorial does not do a good job of explaining that.
heres a tip, don't waste a stone on something like naga dungeon.
Eh, I'm impatient (would probably have to wait till it comes around again) and still at the point where stones are relatively common. Plus got a stone from beating the naga dungeon so why not. At least naga's better than the shit I've got during godfests.
But yeah when I first started I didn't realize how the switching worked when moving an orb so I would just move to make one match, then I watched my sister play and was like holy fuck I am doing this wrong. Had to have her teach me her skills
I guess that evens out my morning luck of getting the dark keeper I needed in one go with a rainbow keeper as a bonus. I expected to run that thing all day for nothing but light keepers.
12 Nagas saved up to get my last skill up. That better do the trick! Will wait until 2x to help, since I've gone 1/18 and 1/21 on skillups during 2x before. Crossing my fingers!

They are in use. Go into the team editor and drag left and right to see all your teams. You have 6 teams, I believe. He's on one of them. Remove him from all the teams and you can feed him to whatever you want.

Yeah, someone mentioned that upthread somewhere. I've successfully removed everyone except from one team (for now), which I'm desperately trying to build up to handle dungeons outside of the elemental-themed trials. Seems I can only successfully handle them if I can find a friend monster at L30 or whatever, which is a bit depressing.
I think I got a shitty super-monster for my first 5-egg pull. A green chick who's ability is to void water damage for a few turns, and buffs wood allies as hear leader ability. Since I don't tend to rock other wood monsters, and neither do most people, she's generally only useful for doing high wood damage. Bleh.

@Imperfect yeah elementals are for the most part trash unfortunately. There are a few niche uses, but you'd be better with most other things.
If you are keeping that account go into the Spreadsheet and try and friend some PA people, you'll be able to use high level monsters in every dungeon. If you get the friendlist is full message @ them, most people can clear some room for an @PA.

You may want to evolve some of them up so you can get Echidna Awakened goodies. Though, I'm unsure if you can't just dump a bunch of armor ogres together and then dump that awakened ogre into something good at this point.
do we know hwo awakened skills will work? like they say if you match 2 they get an awakened skill, but they need to be the same evolution
so e.g. naga to naga gets you an awoken naga. but if you wanted to try to use that naga as a skill up and feed it to an echinada will the awaken skills pass on or would you need to evolve the naga first?
i guess its whetrher it works like a + egg or not. my understanding is in order to pass on the awoken skills it had to be the same monster
There's supposed to be special Awaken feeders in the dragon hunting dungeons, too, aren't there?
Ran naga...8? 10? times yesterday. One drop.
Ran Ice Maze 2 five times and Ice Maze 4 five times. Got one ice ogre. I feel like a putz farming fucking ice ogres. Especially when I'm so bad at it. But at least I have a reasonably non-shit blue conditional team now, given my utter lack of blue orb changers. Blue war dragon leader, siren, 2x b/g ogre, orochi, and either a friend neptune, isis, or blue war dragon depending what's available. It's slow but gets the job done eventually. Guess I'll have to swap the orochi or the siren for a blue knight at some point for armor break.
Yeah, Sylph is pretty lackluster. I'd try to reroll if you like the game, but that's up to you!
Reroll? How?
I've only been playing since last night, so I'm losing at most like 18 hours of play.
You uninstall the game and redownload it and make a new character. (if on android can go into app manager and clear cache/data).... best place to read up on rerolling is... pad.wikia.com/wiki/Valuable_Monsters
An unspoken gesture/rule is when you do reroll remove your friends from your list before doing it. Once you select a monster you want is than when you send out invites to people with @PA in your name and put yourself on the spreadsheet. (I have like 10 open friend spots)
I can't read chinese/Japanese (don't remember which it was in) but from the list of the monsters I saw that would get the Awoken abilities it will require the monsters to be in the final evolution.
So taking a Naga + Naga will not grant you an awoken skill. You would need Echidna the Empress + Echidna the Empress to get an awoken skill.
It is not very clear as of yet about Ultimate evolutions... so if you have Inferno Hades + Underlord Hades if it will give you an awoken ability or if you have to ultimate evo the underlord to Inferno first.
This is why the bi-weekly dungeon's have gotton more improtant, because those don't require evolving. Because as of right now it is going to be insane to do awoken skills. Awoken Hera-Ur + Awoken Hera-Ur for an ability will cost you 880k exp + evo materials before you can do it on your second one. Than if doing 6 of those.... Or Sigfriend/Highlander ... 5 of each in final form (10 total) that is only 10million exp and 30 Mystic Masks.

I already have 2 final form Echidnas and will keep some as well (if I max out the one) for possible Awoken abilities. Would be a slog to level up them all up and final evolve them, but if Echidna gets multiple awoken abilities then i will definitely do it, as she is my favorite and most useful monster in the game (if you couldn't tell). I'm also going to level one up to 70 in second form and keep for low cost dungeons we may get in the future (Draggie/Tengu).

According to this: Awoken Skills Revealed! But... there will be Awoken Fusion Material monsters that you can use in addition to fusing matched monsters.
I don't even have a final form Echidna and it is one of the earliest monsters I got lol.... I almost never use her anymore and since the Draggie/Tengu dungeons I have just planned on leaving her in second form and max level to take her into them.
I read and seen about the Awoken Fusion Material's .... I am guessing that is going to be even worse, this game is still about money so the easiest way to make is to do these abilities where you need more IAP for the Gold Dragon of Depression.
There is not a lot of information out yet about these awoken skills, so the fusion material might be rarer than mythlits and they might have colors/skills bound to them.... so you might get a fusion material to boost health for light monster, though you want to boost health for a fire monster... right now we just dont know.

Wouldn't it be better for @Imperfect to reroll when they do the next "vote for your favorites" godfest and just use this time between now and then to learn how to play the game? Just wondering since they'll obviously give the "best" monsters then.
Yes, Betsuni. That sounds like the best plan, if he doesn't mind wasting a little time in the interim. Hopefully that godfest will be soon. Good chance to get the best stuff though!

Not to be Dr. Negative, but they didn't explicitly say it would be a Godfest, they said REM event, which could just as easily translate to carnival. It all depends on Imperfect's tolerance for pain. I rolled 10 or so times before finally getting my starting god (Kagutsuchi). Poor guy hasn't gotten anything to eat for almost 200 days.
Also for Awoken Material, so far they are saying it will be one monster, who will have his own dungeon that you can only complete once like the noel dragons. They also mentioned that it can show up in metal dragons. Possibly all Jewel dragons. The abilities look to be hard-coded per monster. Every Odin will have the same abilities.
(I assume he's pretty good. I'm blasting shit apart that I only just beat reasonably before.)
Eh, he's really not all that great. Getting a lvl 30 at the start lets you breeze through a lot of the early dungeons, but you're really going to want a god for later in the game.
Starting with a god is nice and all but it's not really that critical. My starting monster was a genie that I used exactly as long as it took me to get anything better (which wasn't long), which I stuck with because I had no idea what I was doing. I've never had any problems with advancing in the game, though I've had reasonably good luck with the REM and am not above IAPing some stones from time to time.
If you're willing to buy some stones and roll during a godfest (or just save up your stones until one), spending a bunch of time re-rolling your starter is only worth it if you have a lot of time to kill.
I don't mind saving up my stones and re-rolling later and I really don't want to sit down and re-do the start of the game a dozen times in hopes that I get super-lucky with some random stuff I don't even really know anything about.
Christ, without knowing more about the game, I may get something really good and throw it away because I don't know any better. This'll carry me until I've got my shit together, I imagine.
I started with a Dino-Rider and I was pretty excited to get him because I re-rolled for literally an entire day until I saw a gold egg.
I now have a stable of REM monsters that include SoD Lucifer, Isis, Pavarti, Kagusutchi, Ceres x2, Sasuke, Ra, and Loki. That's not counting my other farmable top-tier monsters like Valkyrie, all 3 Heras, Goemon, Siegfried, Cu Cuchlain, all the healer girls, all the orb changing knights, and more.
I've spent $5 on the game.
Re-rolling until you nab a TOP TIER GOD is for power gamers, the obsessive, or the very lucky. Saving your stones and using them wisely will get you all you need and more if you plan on playing this game for the long-haul.

I understand the point of boosting dark because have more dark subs so does more damage for the same boost.
original point off using I&I with an hera-ur is you than boost all colors for the 12.25 damage.
so I see it being more situational. in wood dungeon bring freyr. fire dungeon bring I&I. water dungeon or descended probably loki.

I doubt you could pull of Hera-Is without a Valkyrie, so I'd recommend focusing on her first.
Since I assume you have a Verche and an Echidna, that means you'll need a Blue and a Green sub for your team.
Definitely use your Cu Cuchulain. Maybe Isis for the other?
